Does anyone use this product and if so do you take it post workout? I was just wondering since its sugar free suppossedly would it create enough of an insulin spike to be an effective part of a post workout shake?
 
I use Karboload from true nutrition in my intra shake and post workout shake.

TN is said to have some sort of better cyclic dextrin that would probably work better for creating a natural insulin spike
 
I used it before when on slin preworkout. LOVED it. should have bought more than I did. mixes great, taste great, plenty of energy. zero bloat.

p.s not a rep for them, nor have any ties. just being honest about a great product.
 
Did you try it post workout or just pre workout?

pre and post if I needed it. post was not as much spike as say maltodextrin. its phased release, so fast, medium and slower digesting.

Yep, karboload is great. I've got thing for the watermelon flavor, it is so damn good.

For what purpose?

Intra and post workout. Although there still needs to be testing done on it, it appears to have a higher rate of gastric emptying and low osmolality than other high molecular weight carbs (e.g. waxy maize, karboload/karbolyn,...) so it will clear your stomach faster and not cause any gastric distress and will enable for faster replenishing of glycogen stores.

if something is highly branch though, it generally gives it a higher mass along with making it more difficult of enzymatic action to break it up into monosaccharides. or am I crazy

I start drinking it 15 min preworkout and continue drinking during workout
 
I've tried them all... and ended up back at whole food...
 
50g 30min pre and 100g intra for me..seems to work well and the fruit punch makes some of the blandest strawberry protien powder taste great.

Try mixing it in more water , I mix my intra shake in 2 liters of water not and start sipping on my way to the gym and during training and this has elimiminated any stomach issues I was having , John Medows advised this in another post and it has helped completely.
