There was something being discussed/advertised on the board last year that aided in keeping gains during pct/time off. Don't remember the name, but I recall it didn't shut you down and there were reports of vision issues.

I pieced together what details I "may have remembered" hoping to jar someone's memory. It was last year and the specifics were sketchy.

I cant agree with your link. Dbol while off means you are not off. Clomid at that high of a dosage is a train wreck. That was also in 2002 so things have changed.
 
Lol that's fine bro. I didn't say I lived by that. I just mentioned that it was very informative for me at the time of my research. Of course there are more advanced ways in keep those hard earned gains now. Thanks for the reply though. Pax.

I understand. We read and retain what we think is helpful. Wasnt slamming you i was just stating what i thought the flaws were.

You are not going to keep all of your gains when you come off, especially AAS that cause extra water.

I know I have.
 
If you stay off long enough, youll lose just about everything you put on while on the sauce. This is especially true for someone that has been training for a long time.

I was coming on here to ask the exact same question.
 
I am not sure that I agree with everyone who says that it is not possible to keep gains. I believe someone doing short cycles has a good chance of keeping gains as long as training diet and rest are in check. However, I am not a rocket scientist so I could be wrong.:D I need to edit a little here. I can not say that you would keep all of your gains but I did mean at least half. I am not sure that it is possible to keep all.

IGF-1 / HGH if you only want to be off of steroids of course

for a full time off, for sure you wont keep all your gains
 
i think alot has to do with the aas you are using. say a test and dbol or drol cycle is alot of water and seems to be temporary gains, as opposed to say low dose of test with tren and anavar cycle is easlily retainable with a good diet and pct.

In my opinion, anything "built" as a result of AAS usage,
i.e. higher than normal testosterone levels, will be lost
and what remains will be a result of what your current
testosterone level happens to be at the time. There is a
finite cause and effect relationship between the two that
is unavoidable.

You can lift all the weights you like, take all the protein
supplements, vitamins, minerals ad nauseam, but your
testosterone levels to a large degree (on the high as well
as the low end) will eventually govern how much muscle
your body will carry. When you are off the sauce, so
goes your muscles, better get used to it.

Thats just how it works, and to think otherwise is either being ignorant or just wishful thinking.

I have to say i disagree. Lets assume complete recovery of HPTA and all hormone levels after steroid use. You take someone who used steroids long before genetic potential has been reached i believe new mass can be added as long as that person is recovered frm the steroid use.

My highest bodyweight with steroids( reliable sponsors) was around 210. After a year of being totally off..no compounds at all. im sitting at 228. bodyfat is the same. I think training needs to be adjusted as well as diet and recovery. but i think if you never reached your max in the first place theres still some growing to be done.
