Keto diet not so good!

when i did low carb (not strictly keto) combined with IF my cholesterol numbers where crazy. Doc said he had never seen something like this before

Total:96, LDL:56, HDL:28..

This was 7 months ago, gonna retest next month and see where i am now with higher carbs (around 250-350 a day)



Take a look at Dr Berg video series, covers this quite extensively. Bboy put me onto him as I had same concerns.

I believe it's the fructose rather than being a carb that's the issue when on keto. Goes to the liver not the muscle

If you do not exceed 40-50 grams of net carbs for day, it does not matter much IMO.
 
There is a point that we are forgetting.

High cholesterol is not related to heart problems, so, even if a Keto diet, contrary to studies and the usual trend, raises your cholesterol levels, you are not on the road to heart disease.

Triglycerides and blood sugar levels are much more important.

Agreed. I personally found I could combine IF with carbs (150g or so) taken last meal and keep insulin sensitivity at pretty good levels. Keeps a good compromise for my gym/ bodyfat goals and an eye on internal health
