While one is on a Keto diet, does it make sense to also take T3??

Does it makes sense scientifically? Will it help with additional fat loss?

Any input guys?

insofar as the 'scientifc' workings behind it, there are many here who are far more qualified to speak on this than i.

but in terms of practicality, i have used t3 during a ketogenic diet and didn't experience any loss of lean tissue- that being said i didn't use it for my whole prep, just when i seemed to be slowing down around the 5 week out mark, as when you i keto i find i lose fat rapidly at first but as fat reserves become depleted, it becomes more difficult to keep losing whereas on a carb rotation i found i lost steadily straight thru my prep. mind you i kept my dose very conservative at 100mcg on the high end.

neurochemically i don't know how well t3 reacts with a ketogenic diet, but from a practicality standpoint i found it didn't eat me up that badly.

Works great. T3 depletes glycogen, which is responsible for the illusion that it destroys lean tissue, but while doing a keto you will deplete anyway so it seems to work better... :)

When you are dieting hard your natural t-3 begins to slow down. So it is very wise to include t-3 with a keto diet. The t-3 will be raised and help you burn more. Problem is that while you are in a keto state you have to be extremely careful with muscle wasting. It is very easy to become catoblic in a keto state especially if you are doing alot of weight training and cardio. Then when you add the t-3 it could be devastating! You have to be on some type of anabolic to help protect you with the muscle wasting and you need to know how to cycle or implement carbs into the keto cycle while also knowing when to lift and perform cardio. If you dont get the equation done right you could end up loosing alot of fat, but also alot of muscle.
