Dave I wouldn't worry about protein synthesis being slowed or stopped WITH PAINMEDS! Cn you even lift now what are you not going to gain 1/100th of a pound! I am sure it will have no effects on you for a couple weeks! Get some pain meds so you feel better and its not like your going to be come addicted if you take opiates as long as you use them as prescribed! Though I am sure it can happened but it won't if you don't want it to!!! ANYWAYS HOPE YOU GET FEELING BETTER DUDE

Bro, had um twice, know what your goin thru, made me puke they hurt so bad,did they give you your party hat on the way out the hospital(the piss screen) the nurses put it on my head when I was being wheeled out the hospital(to loaded on pain killers to walk) they thought it was hilarious.... one nurse told me she had 3 kids & 1 kidney stone, said she would have 3 more kids b4 another stone. lol

No they cant break the stone up with an ultrasound. There are surgical procedure that can be done. But that means going in. And most people AND doctors rather no do surgery unless it is absolutely necessary.

It was my understanding they have been breaking up stones for years with ultrasound.

Guess I learned something new.
