Knee Sleeve or Knee Wraps

Hitting that point on hack squats that I need knee support. Looking for suggestions.
 
I love my sTrong knee sleeves from Marc bell. Nice stiff neoprene. If I’m going max effort then it’s elitefts knee wraps

I think a sleeve is better than wraps. It's fitted to your measurements and will be consistent every time. Wraps can be too loose or too tight and provides elastic energy that helps you lift more. I just want safety, support, and injury prevention. That's just me though.

Never found a sleeve that could give enough support to noticeably decrease the pain in my knee so it has to be wraps. I use the shorter kind with a velcro piece on the end. Much smaller than the powerlifting wraps.
 
I went for a sleeve myself. Really helped eliminate 90% of pain from my surgically repaired knee during squats.

I've bought it all over the years, but you know what's in my gym bag full time, an original set of Walmart white spandex wraps that have to be 20 years old at this point. I'm far from the poundages that I used to handle but for work sets at 365-405lbs, those are my go toes. Not a bitch to get on like sleeves and not near the support of a tight wrap, somewhere in the middle. Hold some sentimental value as well as I remember on the come up, those were the first wraps I hit 500 in...

It's a bitch getting old in this game ;)
 
Really never found where adding a sleeve, wrap, bench shirt etc. Which does the work instead of the muscle was a benefit to growing muscle. And may cause muscles to move/load in a different pattern then they would normally. Finding ways to lift more then the skeleton can control seems to lead to injury for me.
 
Well I would swear by knee wraps until I watched several leg training videos by Jordan Peters. He mentioned how through time the use of knee wraps make the area around knee including partial of the tear drop fairly small. So I switched to knee sleeves and granted my lefts kind of went down a little due to the lack of springboard action the wraps give you. It sucks but I’m still getting use to them after having them for a little over a month.
 
I always train legs in tights, gives me enough compression on my knees to lift pain-free.

Reminds me of when I was a kid and the school took us on a field trip to the theater to see a play. The guy's wore tights. As a little boy it made me feel very inadequate when I saw their bulge!
