Knot in glute 9 days out! freakin out

Been dieting for 16 weeks, nothing has changed, I didn't crack open a new vial recently either, no new compounds. Did my final shot on thursday afternoon as in 2 days ago.. show is this coming saturday.. so my final shot was 9 days out.

This not a virgin muscle.. i've gotten knots in the past, but never once in this 16 week contest prep. Of course my last shot, i get one. Its not an infection, its not red, I don't have a fever, its not warm to the touch.

I can't flex my glute at all, and when i try, its really swollen, like a tennis ball is shoved in there. I can't for the life of me, remember how long it took knots in the past to go away, and being a week out now, i am literally freaking out.

Anything I can do, to speed up the process? I am,

Putting Ice Packs on it
Putting Heat on it
Taking Ibuprofen
Stationary Bike to promote blood flow
Girl is massaging it with paint roller
Im putting a capsacium based heat cream on it to promote blood flow


Happened thursday afternoon, its sat night now, I can't saw there has been any improvement. Most guys I've talked to think i will be more than fine in a week, im just freaking. Anything you guys suggest?
 
I would do some type of hot oil massage , keep working it out, all i can think of, good luck man
 
I just had one in my quad, It took around 4 days for it to go down
 
In 5 days you should be fine. Happens to me sometimes in the glute it just takes time. If anything I would think a hot pad to get the blood flowing.

Hey bro,

I was in a very similar situation to you when I did my comp, I had a knot in my quad 10 days out (did a shot, went tanning 30mins later, apparently gear can be photoreactive who'd have known?). Fortunately most of the swelling went down and on comp day it wasn't too bad although it did blur my separation on that quad quite a bit. I think you'll be OK and it's in the glute so any residual swelling shouldn't really be noticeable.
 
Have a girl massage it as hard as she can for a good 10 minutes. To work the oil out of that spot. Gone in a day or 2 after that.

Rumble Roller will help.
A foam roller if you don't have a RR.
Tennis Ball if you have neither.

plenty of anti inflamitries for a few days.

alternating hot/cold treatment, cold helps reduce swelling and the alternating temps flush blood through the muscle.
