1 pack wasabi powder
1 lb ground wasabi
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 red onion shaved into rings
1 tbsp grated DIAKON(asian food store is about the only place you can find this)
1 tbsp grated ginger
1 tsp dark soy sauce
1/4 cup light mayo(try to get the fat free stuff your hardly going to use any of it)
1 egg
slices of tomatoe and some lettus
cooper sharp cheese.
one sweet potatoe.
take the wasabi powder and mayo and start wi wisk the mayo and add the wasabi powder intil the mayo is a verry pale green. set aside
sake the ginger, diakon, ground beef, 2/3 of the garlic, soy sauce, egg...mix it all in a bowl, and form burger patties.
take the shaved onions(or just sliced really thin)dip them in milk and toss them in alittle flour that has salt and pepper in it. pan fry them in olive oil.
cook the burgers,then use a BBQ brush to spread on the wasabi cream and add the cheese. top the burger with a few of those onions and you lettus and tomato. i like it on an artisan whole wheat roll.
take the sweet potatoe and julienne the whole thing.
toss them in a bowl with the rest of the garlic and alittle olive oil and bake them at 375 for 20 min.
ponzu dippind sauce
take diakon 1 tbsp, and whisk it with oyster sauce(back to that asian market you go) about 1 tsp, 1 tbsp light soy, beef broth, 1/4 cup, salt to taste and powdered ginger. dip those fries in it.
