KT tape?

any of you guys use the new KT tape? i saw its demo at the Arnold last year, and a friend fo mine sent me some of it to try. so far i used it on my elbow and wrists for 2 different workouts and low and behold id did erase the pain while i was training. i didn't have to use my elbow sleeve or wrist wraps.

i thought it was a gimmick but its not, i think for athletes in sports its a lot better than for bbers. we would use so much of it in our training it would get real expensive. the elbow sleeves and wrist wraps are a one time fee for like 10 years. this stuff you would have to buy pretty often. but, it works.
 
I've used it for rib injuries, shoulder tweeks, and other things and it works well. Don't leave it on too long, though.
 
I've tried it and like lucian says it really does work rather effectively. I've got particularly bad elbows from years of heavy PL pressing. The KT tape if properly applied works better than an elbow sleeve for me in terms of pain reduction; granted I could not quite lift as much due to the sleeves slight compression advantage but I did feel better.
But there in lies the trick: getting it on properly. I bought a roll and hapzardly put it on the first two times and was underwhelmed. But a combination of watching endless you tube vids and speaking with someone who knew how to put it on right finally enabled me to cut it and attach it in the right way. I ran out and am considering getting more but like lucian also said it can add up. For me to cover both elbows twice [which is the recommended application one north south and one south north per arm] I'd be going through a roll a week considering an arm day and then chest day every 5 days. Plus its slightly time consuming though as soon as I say that any active recovery technique is a good investment of time
