Since they started asking me questions years ago (I used to also get my syringes and needles from our local pharmacy back then), I have my mom pick up most of my pharmacy-stuff so I don't know :D But it's certainly not expensive or else she would have told me by now. I'll ask her tomorrow how much it costs exactly.

So many things come to mind when reading your opening post. Yes age can come into things but that won't stop amazing pumps if you do things optimally.

First thing is exercise execution. This is especially common with the chest. You can do set after set but if you are not executing effectively you won't feel it as much as you could in the target muscle. That brings me onto mind-muscle connection. I was bench pressing 4 plates per side for a long time and my chest was crap. Only when I improved my execution and mind-muscle connection did my chest start growing. So set up correctly and also pick exercises what you feel the most.

Giant or super sets can be a great approach but you need the above to be there if you want to get full use of them. The key to a great pump is execution and intensity so it doesn't really matter if that is 1-4 exercises or sets. However I fully agree with the super sets and minimal rest as that is what can create a ridiculous pump. Combine different exercises that hit the chest from different angles. So a press movement, fly movement and perhaps dips or anything you enjoy. I think cable movements can be great for this as well. If you are set up in a cable station you can rotate between various different pressing and fly movements without needing to ever move. I was doing the exact thing last week and finishing with bodyweight chest dips and holding the stretch at the end. The same for on a bench with db's so that could be 2 different super sets for you.

Then comes nutrition and supplementation. It's not essential but a well balanced meal (complex carbs, good fats and protein) pre workout (1-2 hours pre) would be worthwhile. Lot's of salt on that meal would be great as well. An intra shake with sodium and well all the electrolytes would be useful as well. Whilst you are at it add in some aminos and a small amount of carbs such as HBCD's.

There are plenty of supps you can use. Buying a simple pump all in one product such as 5%'s Full as Fuck should assist your pumps loads. Then of course a low dose of cialis is another great option. There are tonnes of great pump products and you can't go wrong with the 2 c's... cialis and citrulline. Just be careful if you have low blood prsssure as both can lower it.

I stopped picking them up at the pharmacy years ago since it was all becoming a bit too obvious what exactly I needed them for haha. But I never used my mom to pick up syringes and needles for me, I wouldn't go that far. She has no problem picking up Glycerol for me, SHE never gets asked questions + it's actually legal so she'd be fine with it either way.

thats what im thinking, but why just my chest? weird..
oh and i didnt mention strength is down a good 30% on the bench.

This may sound lame but i get the best chest pump on days that i only do push-ups. Do 10+ sets of 10-20 reps. I used to do this at home with my 80’s metal blaring when i didn’t have time for the gym. Try different hand positions: hands shoulder width apart, super wide, narrow, hands out in front near your head, hands at your belly.

It's not lame, I feel both (weighted) dips and (weighted) pushups are the two best chest exercises. I remember Phil Hernon also being a fan of those two.
 
so im 47 and been training since my teens.....as i have gotten older pumps havent been the same, although certain bodyparts like back arms delts get good pumps.
my chest in the past would get enormous pumps...full fledged.

as of the last few years, i cant seem to get those pumps....if any.

im wondering if anyone has gone thru something similar. idk if its age related. im on and off juice since my 20s and im on 300 test and 300 deca.

any tips id appreciate

Try Reps of 15 with 3-4 drop sets on each exercise. 20-40Mg of Var will also fill you out nicely.
 
I got $5 that says you have shortened active and passive ROM in the chest. Practice bringing the chest into full flexion in betwean sets and add in some static holds in an enlogated position.
 
Also, pumps aren't the end-all-be-all of bodybuilding. If you are doing progressive overload, you will be fine even if your not getting much pumps.

Very true in many ways. But I could say the same for getting stronger/lifting more as well. I used to bench press 4 plates a side and row 5-6 plates and my chest and back were pretty crap. Now I am benching the same and my chest has improved loads. Guys are often too obsessed with lifting more and more and neglect the quality for quantity. It should go without stating everyone should be trying to progress in strength in all movements using solid form over the years.

Getting a pump to me shows I hit the target muscle well. It shows I have a good connection with it. If I do very heavy sets for 6 reps beating last weeks total I would get an intense pump. I get them from any form of lifting that hits the target muscle (some more than others). If I left the gym not feeling the target muscle at all I would consider that a bad workout. If I got no chest pump but a big shoulder and arm pump when training chest I would know my form was off (so many are shoulder dominant in chest pressing movements like I used to be). I think I have improved my chest a lot this year and stretching/tensing between sets and getting as much blood a.k.a pump in the area throughout training it was a big factor in that. Granted a pump generally isn't an indicator of growth so I understand your point but it's still a vital part of my training.

APS Nutrition has a product called Hydromax that is just glycerol powder in tablet form. I got a bottle of this free a while back with something I bought at A1 Nutrition but never used it. I'm going to give it a shot.

don't remember anyone mentioning, so i'll throw it out
ROM ..for example in presses: keep the bar about an inch from chest @the bottom ..and don't lockout @the top

Yep and I agree entirely on the execution part also, you need to keep constant tension on the target muscle if BB'ing is your goal. In this case: repping it out in that mid range. A lot of people make the 'touch the chest' mistake when doing presses.

I definitely will, as I'm hitting chest tomorrow morning and taking this stuff beforehand. I do also plan on employing some of the tips in this thread, including the push-ups, etc.

Also noticed that True Nutrition sells this same thing (Hydromax must be a patented third-party product) in bulk form.

Yeah Hydromax is just patented Glycerol. Nothing different from regular Glycerol except that it now has a fancier name (and price card). You can even use vegetable Glycerine (= Glycerol) if that's all one could get.

Make sure to check out your Glycerol-vascularity in the gym mirrors tomorrow, it can be a sight to see!
