Triceps use to be my best body part. I found Skullcrushers always worked best for me when it came to Tri's. Now I have issues with my elbows and my Tri's are starting to lag behind. Now all I do is CG Bench and pushdowns and it's just not the same for me.

What do you guys feel works best for building the Tri's if skulls are out of the picture?

I like dips best, thy blast my tri's very well. Also I like to isolate the tri's while laying back on a flat bench and using dumbells like I would skull crushers this allows for better range of hand position to hit different heads. This way U use lighter weight and it might not infame your elbow pain.

You could lightly wrap your elbows with knee wraps and work a higher rep range, but still work them pretty hard... training heavy = that is your last rep lol...

i too get sore elbows when i do lying tricep extensions
with a barbell
but i suggest to do lying tricep ext with the cable and the bar at the bottom
no pain in the elbows and a great workout
for us old guys :)

Give over-head dumbell extensions a shot--much more nature ROM for me anyway....

wide reverse-grip (smith or free bar) bench presses work well.

I second these. A classic movement that was forgotten. I do them on the smith myself.
