[langtitle=vi]Hashimoto's thyroiditis[/langtitle]

[lang=vi]Can I ask how stimulants affect someone with hashi? Anything from caffeine to Clen?[/lang]

Its interesting that some people respond to coffee as gluten. So green tea may be better option. This is also a TH2 stimulator, and will reduce the TH1 hashi response better.

The problem is if there is also an adrenal issue, with too much cortisol production, trying to make up for a hypothyroid state. Giving speed is not beneficial here.

Try mixed carnitines at 3 g a day and garcinia camboga instead. Also an estrogen blocker, as estrogen slows the thyroid, test speeds it up.

Her TPO and anti -TGB -AB should be nicely down after 2 months at 1500 2x day.
Brilliant.. ty i know its been a real buzz kill for her since discovery and what makes it worse is she is an RN, although her primary focus is emergency medicine and more specifically trauma she still has a better understand that most of whats going on, but like every medicine specialty, their like a tradecraft all their own so reliant on other specialists for there expertise.. unfortunately with the hash not too many endos at least in our area are really knowledgeable and worae so stuck in the old western medical ways and probably just too complacent aka lazy to keep up to day with treatment plans and different facets to incorporate like Eastern medicine and homeopathy etc etc..

I am also curious to know as well... for me it was as simple as adrenal fatigue and body stress response invoking the mysterious reverse t3 to where a raw adrenal extract supplement and armour rx (currently maintaining at 60 grain, had been as high as 120 before but was in beginning to kind of kick start things then was able to drop down and still feel good)...

so the best raw adrenal extract ive found to date are Solaray Adrenal Caps (make sure the label says exactly that, Solaray also make an "adrenal support" supp but it does not contain the raw extract just various herbs so no where near as good) and CTD Adrenal Reset... the CTD can be 2-3x the price as the Solaray but i think it due to the addition of pregnenolone to blend since im pretty sure the supporting herb blend to the raw extract are the same and maybe just vary in dose... but either way those are best ive found so far...

[lang=vi]Yes I wonder if someone was a coffee drinker and also was someone who used fat burners and what not were to take adrenal support if it would kind of counter the adrenal fatigue. Since that seems to be the problem with stimulants.[/lang]

Yes... when u find yourself having minimal to zero response to stims even just coffee your most likely suffering from adrenal fatigue... its not a "legit" condition per western medicine but eastern etc see it as a very real condition and seeing is believing when u try the supps... another good supp is dhea... have to be careful taking too much but 25-50mg/day added will greatly help.. i went as high as 75-100/day and no joke after a couple months my head hair started thinning like crazy... wife was the first to point out so of course i didnt take it well lol but cut it down to 25/day and sides were null.. so you'll have to play around on whats best for you but i sure if u are aggressive in beginning like 100/day then started tapering down after 7-10days and dropping down 25 less a day weekly until u find your sweet spot u shouldnt have to worry

[lang=vi]John- how do you feel about naltrexone to keep down the antibodies? Also I'm having her start with 1 grain this week of armour, what have you find to be the average optimal dose?[/lang]

It balances out the immune system by lowering the overreactive Th-17 cells, which promote the autoimmunity issues. It is an Rx, most doctors wont give.
Hence glutathione or NAC instead, as they are really available. Additionally, if there is an adrenal or iron problem, she will really feel like shit unless those are fixed.
So while its worth a try, it may have side effects, unlike Glut or NAC.

[lang=vi]Okay sounds good, I'm going to try the soleray adrenal caps as listed above also and see if it helps..but for now I will just use nac...now also what do you think diet wise besides being gluten free anything you would think she should stay away from? Or anything that will make the auto immune worse? I know an allergy test is probably best but they are pricey so that's the next step[/lang]

What else make's Hashi's worse? Uncooked cruciferous veggies, turnips
.Stay away from pomegranite and Echinacea

What should you supplement?
Green tea, resveratrol and pycnogenol.

[lang=vi]Does the resveratrol in pill form work as well as the injectable version?[/lang]

Insurance should pick up most or all of tab for allergy test beside office visit copay since its an in office non evasive test.. ive had two in my life and they are a real eye opener if you get allergy symptoms already either seasonal or whatever..

your body changes and adapts too with various allergies.. my first test i was a teen and second was 5-6 years ago so about 10-12 years after the teen test... my major allergens were more or less the same but i found out i got a slight reaction to new things i hadnt on first test before. The doc said it usually happens for area specific allergens and a person being in a same region for many years and their body will sometime start react to local things after all the years of exposure.. definitely wouldnt hurt to follow thru with IMO

Bump, and they make them custom for your geographic area as well.

[lang=vi]How do you guys feel about the cellulose in armour and making it less effective? Does chewing it up seem to help?[/lang]

[lang=vi]Is it not odd to wake up with painful swollen lymph nods weeks after going gluten free, taking all the vitamins and starting armour? There was never an issue with this before[/lang]
