Laparoscopic umbilical hernia surgery

not quite the same thing, but I had a herniated hydrocell repaired and thankfully they put the mesh in that covers the entire region. As for recovery, the first week was brutal. Though I had pain meds, like mentioned earlier, you'll learn a new way to sit up and roll out of bed lol, ouuuuuch. But after a week I felt as if I was okay to do whatever I damn well pleased. I didn't lift for a month after and even when I did start with super light weight, I was cautious. Could feel a pull or something, probably just scar tissue I assume. But yeah, I was off work for a week and a half

Mine wasn't laparoscopic, but it was one of the easier surgeries I've had. I remember only having to take one pain pill and used an ice pack the remainder of the time. Was back in the gym in 4 weeks, but only doing things like arms so I wasn't putting along of stress on my core.
