Also known as tennis or golfers elbow (my left arm/lateral elbow).
Anyone had a run in with this? I'm going on 3 weeks now and it's affecting my workouts. I've been icing and doing stretches but it's not improving. I'd like to avoid the "rest" aspect of rehab if possible.

I've had issues with it and it can be seemingly random things that make it worse.... And many times it is not upper body moves. Mine gets irritated if I standard back squat too often (safety bar instead) or use straps or versa trips on deadlifts or back moves to go heavier. I also try to avoid tri movements that make me torque inward, like v-bar or rope pushdowns.

I deal with this a lot at work, icing and working on the tissue of the forearm will help but are bandaids. Typically I see that the same arm that has lat Epi also lacks external rotation. It comes down to a shoulder mobility issue. Look up the “sleep stretch” and try and “strictly” strengthen ext rotators. Not by adding weight but by increasing range of motion. Do Not let your wrist break neutral and curl upward (extension). This the compensation pattern that is causing the epicondylitis

Tennis = Lateral
Golfers = Medial

I’ve used TB500&BPC&GH... seemed to help a decent amount.

Not 100%.

find a good ART practitioner, that is the only thing that helped me and I had tennis and golfers elbow and had it bad.

I have found that keeping my wrists in a neutral position during chest and press down etc. Movements reduces stretch/stress on the tendons.

Thanks guys

I used to have this issue and I found it was from constantly gripping the weights hard. Once I started using wrist straps in all my movements my pain went away.

If it only hurts during training: 2 weeks complete rest

If it hurts at rest: 4 weeks complete rest

If you keep training through it, it may become a chronic and permanent issue.

It takes 3-4 weeks of zero training to even begin losing muscle and strength. You might look flatter due to losing pump/sarcoplasm volume temporarily. It will come back when you start training again.
