Interesting documentary that came out a month or so ago on the story of Lee priest. I’m still working through it myself as it’s a bit long but so far it’s pretty interesting.
Man I tell ya I feel back in the day he was a force . I think he upset a lot of the politics of the game with giving away prize money and auctioning off trophies and such.

Damnit I was going to watch that the other day. I'm 45 years old. I met Lee Priest a couple decades ago. I randomly stumbled on him in a hotel. He was the first bodybuilder I've ever seen where I was like "I don't want to look like that". He was just so muscular. I was thinking to myself whoa thats too far. Not realizing I could never look like that to begin with.

Priest didn't go further than anyone else. He's just a midget. Short guys look jacked, tall guys don't unless they really take their bodyweight up to fill out their frame.
There's a video of him scoffing at taller guys not having larger proportions. I'm pretty sure he's kidding because being taller doesn't mean you can build 30 inch arms. The ceiling for that seems to be roughly 22 inches and almost all elite bodybuilders have that. That seems to be the ceiling.
