One leg day a week I train with my significant other. She’s a strong squatter (for an endurance athlete)
She will back squat. Usually starting with 95lbs, ramping up with 5 rep sets, usually hitting 175-195 for a top set.
To keep the plate changes from being stupid, I’ll just throw a 25lb plate on top of her weight and do front squats for 6-8 reps. After her top set and my top front squat set, she will go claim our next exercise (busy gym)
While she’s doing that, I take that top front squat weight and do a widowmaker back squat, trying to get 18-20 reps. It’s part fun, part torture.
So cliff notes…front squats 3-4 sets ramping to top 6-8 reps. Then back squat widowmaker.
Enjoying it, just thought I would share.
