Hi I have a weird little thing going on.

I had to take a week off of my normal workouts to get married. Been fine for five days. Not super busy or anything most of my time is reading, helping the wife do random things and washing the dishes.
I went to bed last night after a way relaxing night and when I woke up this morning my legs are killing me. Like hardest workout of my life hobbled walking killing me...but I didn't do anything. I actually went to see GI Joe and getting up was freakishly painful. Its got me just a little bit scared.
The only change I can remembetr in the last couple days was I ran out of Vitamin C after taking around 1000mg daily, and I am on Humanafort.
Has anyone else had a sudden onset of something like this?

Can't say as I've seen this, before. All I can say is that if I get a fever or flu or sickness or what have you, I get achy, and especially in my legs. I remember the last time I had the flu my legs were extremely sore, but this was after a leg workout. But, there was a difference in the type of soreness... it was different than DOMS. Can you tell if there's a difference between soreness (DOMS) and a feeling of general "achiness" with your leg condition? It doesn't seem reasonable to me that you would have a legitimate case of DOMS after doing nothing to your legs that would cause classic post-workout muscle soreness. My speculation hat is off, now. Congrats on getting married (and helping with the dishes, too... that might mean that your marriage will work ;) ), too! Way to go, buddy!

Thanks sir!
I do indeed feel that this is far more like DOMS than a normal flu symptom. I mean it comes with that sharp "torn up" feeling of a super hard leg workout. I mean even a bit of weakness. It is totally freaky.
ONE thing did pop into my head.
I have been on Atkins for about 2 months to drop some weight. On my wedding day I had cake and icecream for the first time in maybe 2 years. Lots of icecream. Maybe its some kind of carb reaction. I used to get sore after coming off Atkins in the past. But nothing like this.
I am wondering it something weird food wise occurred.
Thanks for the congrats. She is a damn fine woman both in looks and in spirit. I don't deserve her...but I will do my best to make her think I do:)

When I am over training, generally stressed out with work or coming down with a cold, it seems that my legs always get achy and sore.

It feels as you described, sore like a delayed muscle soreness. Lately with work, I have been under a lot of stress and I am finding that in the mornings I am waking up with sore quads. Even when I am not working them like I normally would.

Wow. Its good to hear that this may happen to others. This morning it was better but still noticeable. That first day was downright scary. I will keep and eye on it.

Ive had that a few times when I was underfed. Once I ate a good size meal it was gone within a few hours. I know what youre saying. It felt like I had done a very intense squat workout. That burning in your legs like it was lactic acid. Once I ate well it was gone within hours.

Spot on. Exactly what I felt. For me though I was coming off of a low carb and had my wedding and had a good deal of sugar...and icecream.
But it is slightly going away. Went for a 2 hour bike ride today to work them out and it seemed to help.

Do you have any low back problems? Was it just your lower body that felt this way and not your upper body?
