Leg training & Nausea everytime

Im curious if anyone else experiences nausea everytime they train legs? Have you found anything to help it reduce or rid the feeling?
Everytime I train legs with any degree of intensity I get to the point just before vomiting on my ride home from the gym. I have to close my eyes, even getting a ride from someone at certain points.
I have tried training on an empty stomach in the am but i really don't enjoy that because I'm extra weak and I still feel sick.
I have played w meal times, cut out my intra-workout, increased my rest, decreased reps etc but I still end up feeling sick if I push myself virtually at all.
Has anyone experienced this? Have you found anything to help you avoid that feeling.

Sounds about on-par with a typical leg day

I personally think training legs IF it’s a real workout leg day not just I did legs. On empty stomach is not good idea.But that you mentioned is very normal. I remember back WAY back in the dungeon gyms we had garbage buckets next to the squat Machines just for that reason. Do your hard ass rep then barf and then get back to your next rep lol good old days.
 
That is the reason i started training on an empty stomach, but in your case it doesn't make any sense, do you have any conditions or take any medications that could contribute to it? Have you tried a tea spoon of baking soda before your work out?
 
Also have you checked your heart rate during the workout? I find the workouts where my heart rate is going bonkers to be more likely to be vomit inducing. Maybe more rest between sets or less stimulants, if that’s applicable?

I’m sorry but do you honestly believe that because you train on empty stomach your not going to get nauseous or even throw up? Nothing may come out when you throw up but your definitely will still get nauseous on empty stomach and throw up acidic liquids. Or gag like a bitch and feel like your stomach lining is trying to come out. Just saying

^^^hey brother ..leg days are hell ..that's just a part of this

BUT IMO; just sounds like you'r outta shape ..cardio wise

..i lettered in 3 sports in HS ..but most times i came back from summer-break i knew that i had to sprint-till-i-puked to get back in shape
..after 2-3 sessions of this ..i was g-2-g

..legs ..esp if developed ..require a ton of O2 during workouts
..you don't have enough available O2 bc you'r out of shape? .....this drives nausea


BTW; high ESTROGEN in not conducive to great cardio output either ..it can definitely affect ..& lower ..your capacity to perform

I almost feel tempted to challenge you to se who can endure more in a squatting session, but why? I tried so hard to squat until i passed out and everything would fail before i would pass out or puke, that was just me though, maybe it was the high dose tren?
 
I have this when training my back, every other training I go to the toilet to throw up during the last series. The guys at the gym say it's not normal, but it is for me, I've got used to it. After one throw up I feel like a new person and I can continue training. I don't even pay attention to it.

Well I can’t squat because of my back problems. But I get super nauseous doing legs with any type of exercise I decide to do that day. I just don’t throw up though.
 
I would definitely get light headed almost to the point of passing out but not nauseous, i guess it's also a case of we are all different!
 
Are you breathing properly during sets? Or at least as well as possible

You don’t have to be anal but make sure you’re not holding your breath etc

Yes, I have and it has ruined my leg days for a good few months.
I found out that my blood pressure drops when doing heavy leg compounds with high intensity. I brought a bp-cuff with me to the gym one leg day, and my systolic was around 80 when it happened. I get pale, nauseaus, jittery, sweaty and it takes about 30 minutes to feel normal again. In periods where I had high blood pressure, this issue occured less.

What helped was simply arranging the sessions differently and doing the heavy quad compounds later in the session. You still get sick, but you already got through 90% of your leg workout, so the damage is limited. The second thing that helped was using as little of a valsalva maneuver as possible during heavy compounds like squats etc. For example, in a squat, I try not to brace too hard until I get to the bottom of the movement and then, coming out of the hole, only up to a certain point where it feels safe to breathe out again. Lastly, increasing rest times can also help.
 
I had a friend that added electrolytes and carbs in his legday and that solved it but it sounds like you have your intraworkout nutrition covered. Maybe you need to take something to increase your blood pressure during the workout (lol not serious, kinda serious)
 
So not to be an alarmist, but this is the first sign we saw in my friend who is now on waiting list for new kidneys.

I think the high cardio demand is part of it but it is also related to the legs being such a large muscle group and when extremely pumped blood must shunt from other places in the body including the abdomen. This rapid process and the "empty" abdomen gives the nausea and vomiting. Why it can happen even on an empty stomach food wise. But I would imagine if you have a lot of food in there the parasympathetic nervous system will be going full bore to digest with even more blood in there so it is really a big shift when the pump and shunting occurs. But yeah some people are definitely more susceptible than others. Awful feeling up there with tren cough for me.

were there any other signs/ symptoms? How long has he been using and how heavy was he? did he have high blood pressure for years or did he pay attention to that?

He had been using for 6 years nonstop, no breaks, cruising for him was 250mg test ew and 50mg winstrol ed.
He had high blood pressure, heavy breathing etc
He was close to 135kg at 180cm
He did fuck all to take care of his health..
in 2020 we where training together and he complained about the nausea and he had insane edema in the lower legs, so he went to the Doc and now he is in full renal failure..
