Let Dr. prescribe HRT to have reg blood tests?

Doctor wants to put my friend on HRT. My friend was just going to skip the doc and run his own. But, he now is thinking if he lets his doctor prescribe him the meds he will then get regular blood tests by the doc and if there is an issue he will get the correct ancillaries to combat any sides.

Great plan, Lucky to have a Doc that will put him on HRT, and regular blood tests.

Just as long as the Doc will follow up with any AI and HCG that he will more than likely need.

Well, it wasnt the doc just being nice. Dudes tlevels are very low. He wasnt feeling the greatest, very lathargic emotional.Not making great headway in the gym... bodyfat wasnt exactly melting off. Though he oculd have tightened allot of that up.

Doc ordered some blood test and found his t levels were equal to a 72/73 year old man... Wants him on a cpap but offered him hrt...

I definately take advantage of HRT. I see him twice a year, my cardiologist twice a year, My regular doc once a year, so between them I get bloodwork done five times a year now. My only wish is I had done it prior to needing a whole set of doctors.

BTW CPAP and HRT are not mutually exclusive. Nothing is going to happen on HRT that lessens your need for CPAP if you in fact need one. Did they diagnose obstructive or central APNEA?

Hios dr said many new studies may show apnea lowering t levels.

I understand that possibility, but I guess I trying to say something different, treat the apnea period whether it lowers test levels or not. It may be the more serious problem of the two and can lead to many other major problems, moreso than low test levels.

he definitely should. But he's going to have to be careful what he runs when, as you dont want a blood test to show incredibly elevated numbers over what the dr expects. so likely short estered stuff only.

He ordered his cpap... he will taper down when he needs to...Just seems like a good plan.
