Lets critique proper form

A tad more rounded can get you injured... Looking at your video, your body from your hips to your upper neck(deep cervical flexors) should make a straight line, no mending or bending. There are plenty of people that will say your form is great, most of them haven't been injured doing it before( severely at least). IF they have and they are still lifting that way then they have serious issues. Knowing why your form isn't pristine on something as technical as a deadlift requires a good amount of knowledge. I would also maybe send your vid to Eric Cressey and see what he thinks, even check out Rippetoe's videos. Link is to a .pdf file but will explain how much extra load you put in the lumbar disc region when you are even slightly rounded.

thanks for the link, good read. I agree that there shouldn't be any bend, but unfortunatley there always is. I do need to get my back straighter agreed, and it is something I'm working on.

This is why I posted it, for feedback. Thanks guys

hey Phil you said that for chest your 3 only perform 3 exercises bb bench, dips, and db bench

I have read your thoughts on the proper bb bench technique, but what about the dumbbelll bench press in your opinion what is the best way to do them ?

Cheers

Bumping this thread

I was looking for the proper form on a few lifts. Leg press and hack squat. I thought this thread would be useful bumped.

This thread has been dormant for a while and think it should be utilized more.

As many of you know, I was shot with a 12g 8 yrs point blank in my right thigh. It's been a long road and still trying to hit legs, just wanted to get some feedback on the squat form

Looks good to me. Feet look close together too.

Thanks for the feedback. I normally go with a shoulder width stance, sometimes wider with toes pointed out a little (won't go down as far with those and with a lighter weight).

I feel like I'm "rushing" the descent, what do you guys think?
I've been extending my arms over the plates as I feel it helps me to keep my back more upright and less slouched over.

Trying to get somewhat decent legs with what I've got to work with
