Lidocaine

Anyone ever been able to get lidocaine or similar numbing liquid?
I have a few dark raised skin spots from mt2 and the wait for a surgeon is ridiculous here so I want to get a scalpel and lido to remove myself...

Yah, it's around. There are also analogs available from research-chem companies. I can't tell you exactly because I haven't looked for a while.

And for the procedure, you'll need a "punch" instrument, as in a punch biopsy or punch excision.

With MT2 it says if you're having any procedure that will cause a scar, you need to stop a month or so in advance or it causes the scar to be dark.

Ive removed lots of stuff and sutured myself many times but I regret removing a mole in 2012. While it might just be some hyperpigmentation from the MT2 I did post links to case reports of melanoma forming shortly after MT2 use so I wouldnt do it yourself as you cant send it out for pathology to see the degree of atypia or margins.

When i did it myself I just buffered some lido with bicarb ( makes it not sting) and injected under the mole raising a wheel. I then used an 11 blade to take it off with what I thought was a wide excision and then used some 4 or 5-0 silk to close it up.

I did a great job but in my mind I was wondering if i really did get the margins and if i hadnt then what if it was melanoma or had severe atypia and it could have been prevented had I not just did it myself. So about 5 months ago I went to my buddy who is a derm and had him do an wide exisional scar resection and now I have a huge scar on my flank. But now I have piece of mind that everything is good as its not a risk id take again.

Get a "before" numbing cream. After applying it, wrap it with plastic wrap for 30 min.
