weird....i literally just left the store that sells these. ive been wanting a pair for a while and was hesitant to order without trying them on...im glad i waited. the salesman, who seemed knowledgeable in fitting these gave me three different sizes to choose from that he said "fit", so i ended up not getting any. apparently the fit is very important bc too tight will obviously be uncomfortable and too loose will cause blisters. add to that the shoe will stretch and it makes it a bit confusing because to really get the purported benefits the fit should be "glove like"... so if you could try them on b4 purchasing, i would suggest doing so.
Oh yea, you shouldn't buy them online unless you already know your size. One of my friends is a trail runner. He bought a pair of these and had to drive a couple of hours to find a store which carried the size which fit him properly.
The foot is designed for the ball of the foot to hit first, that force is then dampened through the remainder of the foot and up the leg. We walk, due to our tennis shoes, on our heels which causes much more shock and wear/tear on the knee. These will help force you to use the ball of your feet first apparently. My friend loves them, has several pairs now.
