my short version is this... not been on my diet for awhile... no gas, and when there is..no smell..

well, 2 days ago i see my eggwhites are about to go bad, so i start drinking them again..... MAN DO I STINK, AND THE CRAPS TO BOOT....

what gives here, would the problem be solved by cooking??? these are 100% pasteurized eggwhites...

Egg white pancakes

Hey bro, i make egg white pancakes basically every day and love them!! No smell or stink at all lol. It may have something to do with you drinknig them.

There is a thread on here with a video clip of how to make the pancakes, but here is what i do.

2 cups liquid egg whites
bunch of cinnomon
3-4 packets of splenda

mix all together and pour into pan and cook on med/high heat.

I top this off with a cut up banana and walden farms CALORIE FREE maple syrup...i feel like i'm cheating on my diet its that good..and Phil approved :)

That recipe sounds interesting. But don't you just feel like you are eating a cinnamon omelet? I am always looking for new ways to use liquid egg whites. This sounds interesting but I'm wondering how long I could eat these before getting sick of them.

Mac...the calorie free maple syrup is what makes this meal. Walden farms is a great compnay that makes pretty much any condiement,sauce or dressing you can think of calorie free...blessing from god if you ask me lol.

I cut up bananas, strawberries..foods that Phil approves and i never get sick of it..having it sometimes 2-3times a day...but usually just for breakfast
 
I eat egg whites every morning and I have to force them down now because I am so sick of them. I just scramble them never tried anything fancy, but I find they are a bitch to keep from sticking to the pan unless I add 1 whole egg..... Any ideas to help make these things more enjoyable would be much appreciated.
 
I have regular egg whites and pasteurized egg whites in my diet and let me tell you, the pasteurized ones are the ones that cause the "stink" ;) My boyfriend started using them and he noticed it with himself too!

In the mornings I usually put cinnamon, splenda and berries on my egg whites and in the evenings I spice em up with fresh ground pepper and green tobasco or red hot :) I get sick of them too but just force them down!

I use the pasteurized egg whites in place of water with my protein. I'm really not a fan...but you do what you gotta do and just get em down!

Do you use the spray butter Pam stuff? That's what I use and usually don't have a problem except with one of my older pans. if you're using an old pan and don't plan on buying a new one soon (you should do what i'm about to recommend to brand new pans too), take your pan after you've used it and cleaned it and then use a stick of butter and rub it all on the cooking surface of the pan then use a paper towel to wipe out the excess then leave it in your cupboard for next time.

I've done this with all of my new pans they day that i get them and it helps to keep the cooking surface more "stick-free"

I cant stand to use pam because the taste of it makes me want to puke and I try to avoid butter or the obvious reasons. So honestly I just cook them with nothing....which is probably why I have such a hard time cooking them but if I keep the temp real low and add a whole egg I have no problems lol.

Oh! well we definitely don't want you puking the eggs back up! lol! that's just counterproductive!

and the butter thing... I did it once to my pan when I purchased it about 5 years ago and haven't had a problem until recently, considering over the past year i've probably used it 2x per day every day. time to retire that one! It just helps the pan last longer when you first get it :)

Have you tried a couple of sprays of the I Can't Believe It's Not Butter spray or do you dislike that as well?

Speaking about nasty protein farts and their extreme frequency with Hi Protein Diets...................how do you all cope with:

Having to let one go in

a) a public setting (classroom, movie theatre, work meeting, etc.)

b) an intimate setting with someone you've just starting dating where running to the bathroom to fart every 5 minutes is out of the question and there's no one else around to blame it on :D

b) GET UP EVERY 5 MIN IF NEED BE! FIRST IMPRESSIONS LAST A LONG TIME BRO! :eek:
 
I just tried the above mentioned recipe but added psyllium husk to the egg whites. Turned out great!! Taste very close to real pancakes with a more rubbery texture (from the egg whites). I can see this becoming an everyday meal!!
 
Sulfur?

Egg whites are loaded with sulfur...This usally is what causes that horrible stink...I think...:eek:

Yup,
I drink at least 6 a day - whites only. Just easier than cooking and I think the protein is not disrupted by heat of cooking this way. No proof just my thought on it. I wonder if it is that you are lactose-intolerant. I have yet to find a way to avoid the noxious fumes that are emitted from the consumption of whites. All I can say is the family hates that I have a (windows lock) option on the vehicle. I remember one time my car stunk so bad and thick for days I used another vehicle.
