What is everyone’s personal experience (or a friend’s experience) using ACE inhibitors to lower RBC production and erythrocytes? And more specifically, which ACE and at what dosage? How significant was the reduction?

A short clip by @ChaseIrons on YouTube caught my attention. He says he got his down from 58% to 50% from 10mg Enalapril and 4g IP6, and he is a guy who is very well aware of hydration having a significant impact on the result.

Iirc this is a very old clip and he doesn't use an ACE anymore. He uses a combination med of telmisartan and hydrochlorothiazide now.

Enalapril had no effect on my HCT. I tried it as soon as Dante posted it. IP6 as well, only I had low iron.. I have been on Telmi and Nebivolol for a long time now and my HTC still fluctuates between 54-57. Interestingly, the RBCs are normal, only the Hemoglobin is high. Platelets in the lower range.

How much Enalapril did you take?

IP6 will chelate iron. Anyone who uses it should check their iron markers prior to using it as this is a risk.

didnt i pm you once saying enalapril is the only thing i used to bring RBC's down? and also drinking atleast 2l water before blood drawn, never get blood drawn upon waking without a being hydrated first and testing RBC's

yes I know. I was monitoring my blood and saw a drop in iron.

They did fuck all for my hematocrit..

Thanks for reminding me about these old posts. I’m still gonna try it since some people I’ve spoken to have actually seen it work (@whoremoan for example). Only way to know is to try.

Yup wuld be nice if something worked well, and we could add it to help keep these peaky thick blood occurrences down…

Enalapril had no effect on my HCT. I tried it as soon as Dante posted it to ,IP6 lower my hct from 54 to 52 and hgb from 19 to 17 but my platelets rise a bit and ussualy they stay on the lower side when i dont run ip6 . I switch 8 weeks ago from 10 mg enalapril to 40 telmi after i read a post here that someone got the rbc ,hct ,hgb numbers down ,and i double my Nattokinase from 4000 fu day to 8000 fu and try for the first time naringine 500 mg x 2 daily ,monday i will get my blood work done and see if they work

Enalapril works well for certain patient populations like hemodialysis patients at lowering RBCs, but it hasn’t been specifically studied for testosterone related erythrocytosis. I have heard a mixed bag of anecdotes from people on whether it worked for them or not.

Nattokinase is something I take plenty of but it does absolutely zero for lowering my RBC production. There is also no evidence in any of the literature that it lowers RBCs, yet some people here have credited it with lowering theirs, so who knows. It’s worth taking for a multitude of reasons apart from that.

I just got my blood test results back and it seems that telmisartan, nattokinase and naringin don't work in my case for the decrease in red blood cells or hematocrit and hemoglobin, and honestly I'm a little worried because I can't donate blood because I take a baby aspirin a day for the stent I got in 2017 when i got a MI, for 3 years I've been increasing the dose of trt from 125 mg ed shots to 200-250 mg ed shots for 12 weeks ussualy winter time and summer time with 3-4 iu gh daily 5 on 2 off . Right now im at 10 weeks but i think im gona stop trt and everything for a few months and go cold turkey ,anyone had this high numbers and what do you do in this regard ,maybe i was a little bit deshidratate because i only drink before 750 ml gatorade and 500 ml water 10 minutes before blood drawn All this clooting factors came back negative .

Most likely, the fact that the day before I went to a swimming pool and drank only 2 liters of water and a beer all day contributed to these results, I usually drink somewhere between 5-6 liters of water daily.

What did your Chem panel look like?

They did fuck all for my hematocrit..

This for me as well and I have had to deal with hematocrit a shit ton over the years (mostly for insurance stuff) so it gets more attention and action than any other area of my blood work. Seriously pisses me off as no symptoms and core of issue is that I sat at 47-48 long before anabolic so even a 5-10% increase has me out of line (combine that with a few poor hydration readings (can be another 4-8%) and suddenly I'm a lab rat.
