Hello all,

Decided to start a new journal to coincide with my new focus so hopefully have some interest. Unsure if want to return to the stage but if the growth comes back is going to be a consideration.

Have posted on and off forums since 2009 and am UK based.

I competed at UKBFF South Coast in 2011 and NABBA England in 2013 but since then whisky training was sporadic in terms of bodybuilding but kept my base largely. In 2019 I had a quad tear and condition slipped, and Lockdown didn't help!
2021 dieted down to remove the fluff and plan now is to push for size.



Start point below.

Start weight was 202lbs, 205.2 this AM.

Training 2 on 1 off and Push/Pull/Legs.
Joined my old BBing gym (Pro Strength and Fitness) and into week 2 now.

Protein around 300g daily,
Carbs 400 on training days and non training days closer to 150-200.
Fats below 50g

Cycle is Test E and Anavar and will track weight and macros and make adjustments as we go. Likely add in an anabolic in a few weeks when progress stalls.

Cardio I do crossfit workout once a week which will involve some HIIT cardio but that aside I make sure to get 12k steps in daily without fail and this has helped immeasurably past few months.

Push session today and is now the end of the two way rotation after 3 days on the trot so tomorrow is a rest day which is needed.
Looked back at some older pictures when was 225 and have lost a vast amount of leg size since then so without the heavy squats will ve interesting to see the results of a different training style.
 
Not sure whether people want detail like the exercises and weights in sessions?
Internet forums seem much quieter than 5 years ago!

Not sure whether people want detail like the exercises and weights in sessions?
Internet forums seem much quieter than 5 years ago!
Everyone is on sterile reddit or instagram. Nobody has attention span for forums anymore, unfortunately.

I think detailed sets+reps for main lifts are always good for a log. Helps you track progress more accurately than just the mirror while you are gaining weight.
 
Following. I’m a fan of logs that are very detailed with exercises, reps, sets, tempo etc., diet, macros. There’s a ton that can learned from them
 
Ended up with higher calories yesterday than anticipated.
Not too worried as all clean food but more important to monitor as I go and make gradual changes.
Wanting to add my size back quickly but equally don't want to gain fay for the sake of it.
Tracking macros is something I never did just following a set meal plan during a prep but always made best progress when logged most of the details rather than operating in the dark.
Rest day today so will get the steps in as per usual throughout the day and some stretching/ mobility work also.

Breakfast today 150g lean turkey burgers and a beansprout stir-fry with garlic and chilli and sone smoked salmon 50g and a little 0 fat cottage cheese.
Then have 550g chicken 350g sweet potato and 150g sourdough to munch until the end of the day. I have a veg bowl which has broccoli, peas, carrots, asparagus, aubergine and courgette and peppers. Make in bulk and chuck in together.
 
Good day on diet front as a non training day.

Pull tomorrow morning, using new lever belt for first time also for deadlifts after old pronged one got lost.
 
Pull session earlier with a few rest paused sets and working sets to failure.
Typically 2 working sets per exercise, sometimes 3 but will adjust over time as recovery needs increase when weights go up.
Great session and weight/reps up across the board.

Seated Low Row
Max Strength Grip attachment pull-down
Bicep Machine Preachers
 
Legs earlier great session with hamstring isolations to failure, leg presses and hacks and sldl. Extenions and calves to finish.

Adding in some HGH at 4ius ore bed also
 
209lbs this morning. Up from 205.2 last Saturday. Some fullness from the creatine and goodies kicking in. Been a good week.
Legs clearly lacking after the tear but to be expected and I am confident can bring some size back!

Rest day today after a push session and HIIT on Wattbike yesterday. Deadlifts tomorrow 2 or 3 working sets to start. Will be around 225 and see what get. Bodyweight up to 216bs plenty of water.
 
Making progress with weights most sessions and definitely have added fullness. Back pumps can be problematic so holding calories steady at around the 3500 mark and sitting at 224lbs this morning so a fair increase when was down to 202lbs relatively lean not long back.
I am doing PPL still but 2 or 3 days in a row and a rest day and again. Rest when needed in between but have done a higher volume arm session twice now which won't tax recovery but gets me doing something different.
 
Cardio this morning and a walk today. Been completely fasted to keep the body fresh to carbs tomorrow. Be 36hours come breakfast tomorrow.
 
Current status after a little diet post Christmas. Want to push up weight now.
