I'm a long time listener, first time caller; thought it was
about time I introduced myself and start participating.

Weight training has been a constant thread throughout
my life, starting when I was eighteen years of age and continuing
until this very day. And having done many different activities
other than those physical, a lot a traveling, and much reading,
it is my opinion that this variety of experiences (mostly mistakes),
far from being a detriment, brought balance and a much
needed perspective.

At one point in time I achieved what some may call spectacular
results; was told I was too big, people that had not seem me
for some time did not recognize me, others said that I was shorter,
(an illusion created by my different bodily proportions) and a whole
host of other things, some true, some false, some nice, and
some not so nice. My training then was unbelievably brief, intense,
and infrequent, with a balanced diet adequate to the task. That was
truly a magical point in time as far as results were concerned;
all the stars must have aligned in my favor.

Then things changed . . and as somebody once said, if you have
ever achieved meaningful results as a function of weight training,
you will always gravitate back to it.

Now, in retrospect, I believe that I have always been trying to
duplicate the results of some thirty plus years past, and without
a satisfactory degree success I might add (though some might argue with
that). Being old enough now to realize it just isn't going to happen. I none
the less keep trying, enjoying the process and benefits that can be derived
from it.

So much for the back story.

I'll try and chime in now and again time permitting and if I think I can add
anything of value. Over time, I will relate what I have experienced, what I
have observed, what I know, what I don't know, and what I think. And
I'll post a few images. My avatar is me, shot one day ago.

I'm cautiously optimistic and I clearly have more questions than answers.

Why now, why here? I have no idea. Does anybody really know why they
do certain things?

Best Regards.

We can only hope that in two years your diet and training dont go down the drain LOL. Of course you'll look like that when your 50.

Thank you gentleman for the compliments.

Yes Natabolic, the avatar is me. Shot for my first post.

I'll post a larger version of it (and another I shot at the same time)
over in the Member's Photos section and talk a little bit more
about me.

Alfresco, good to have you actively participating. You look great! I look forward to your perspective and input.
