Hi,

This is my first post here and after 3 years member without even a post whilst coming here every day I thought it was about time to say at least hi
I really love coming here and reading posts made by shelby, phidias and phil hernon. I live in Europe on some island in the mediterenean ... This is me Janauary last year.....anyway I really like this board because its like one big family...Hi Guys!!!

Thank you for your comment yes I compete in my country IFBB nationals. My weight in the pictures is around 80kg, my last contest in 08 I competed as a 75kg.

Thank you Phil... I really appreciate your comment I read alot of your posts especially when you talk about training... I have incorporated alot of your ideas into my training... I especially like the high frequency low volume approach

What are your gyms like over there...What about food, supplements...Tell me more about it

Hi chris, well you find all sorts of gyms here, nearly all gyms have some good machines like cybex, life fitness and hammer strenght however you rarley find these all in 1 place. The gym I currently train is very well equipped (relativly to other gyms of course), but previously I trained in a gym where other then benches and dumbells and barbells the only machines they had where lat pull downs, rowing machines a leg press and some leg and calve machines, you know just the indespinsble. But I really used to like it as it was very hardcore...

As regards to foods we don't have comodoties like the states like pastuerized egg whites and the such but we have all the necesary things, being in the mediterenean we have good supply of fresh olive oil, fish, tomatoes and other mediternean goodies heheh ... Supplements we have access to everything however most athletes here don't use anything rather then the usual creatine, glutamine and if you are lucky some minerals and vitamins... I rely alot on food however I do use some specific aminos and vitargo....

Hi Shelby, Let me first tell you that I look into your posts a lot for nutritional advice... I am 168cm and my weight in that pic is around 80kg give or take a few grams... I live in Malta, which is an island in the mediternean. I am sure you never heard of our island hehehe its very small

Ok I posted 3 pics... the sepia (or whatever color is that) was taken roughly the same time as the first pic i have posted... around 2 months before I started dieting for contest prep. In those pics I weighed around 80kg... during diet I grew in my first 8 weeks of diet getting 83kg and in more condition... however during the last 8 weeks I decided to go for the <75kg and had to lose some mass, i regret that decision because at 83kg i was pretty lean already had veins on the abs and striations on thighs and delts and skin was already very thin... This year, I'll try to compete in the <80kg I will be happy if i make 78.5kg that would be a 4kg increase in 2years, on somebody who is 168cm that increase is noticible.

Just in case you are wondering about the odd color it's dream tan... it is considered kind of "bad" presentation if you put only Protan in europe...Even at international contests like the European's you never find ppl doing protan only, its always either dreamtan, or protan + dream tan

Very impressive. I love seeing bodybuilders from other countries -the World Amateurs is one of my favorite competitions.

You have an awesome physique and still plenty of room to fill it out without ruining it. Just take it slow and steady

Thanks for all the great compliments. My dream is that in the next few years I will be able to break top 6 in the European championships. I'm still 26 so I have plenty of time to fill out ... I think that if I can get my weight slowly to 85kg shredded on a 5'6 frame I will be filled out...

SHelby I too enjoy a lot seeing ifbb world championships I have dvds at home of 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007.. do you know of a place where I can buy them? It seems that no one sells them....

Don't think twice, bro... if you have an opportunity to enter the Nabba Universe, please go for it... it would be such a waste not to!!

And you may not have pasteurized eggs, but u have cheap olive oil and such a lovely environment to train in, in Malta!!

Hi, Phidias glad you saw the post, Well Benfatto is one of my idols and I really love his physique In my country I am an IFBB athlete and that prohibits me from entering nabba shows, besides I am class 3 and I would have to compete with 100kg monsters being a lighter competitor <80kg that would put me at a great disadvantage. I prefer competing in shows with weight classes at least I know I am competing with athletes with my own weight. I will be trying to qualify for the European championships in April next year, I would love to cut top 6 someday in my class at the European championships.

Not yet! I've visited Greece and Turkey but still not Malta... well, it's definitely in my plans for the future! Everyone I know that went there really enjoyed their time... and if the landscapes look like Greek ones, it can indeed only be a wonderful place!!
