they mentioned that the longer you rest the more reps you can do in the long run
For me lately it all comes down to how much time I have too train, I prefer rest periods of 3-5 min, but if Im in a rush I keep them all to about 2 min, also for warm ups generally get shorter rest period than my fail sets.
Stroy
I just rest till breathing returns to normal.
Good to see my old handle was as funny as my new oneO rly?
Yes and it's definitely not 30-45 secs. My strength dropoff would be huge if I rested only for so long.I've lost as many as two to three reps by not resting long enough. There is an optimal rest time that you have to find for yourself.
Not sure I'm even close to the norm but I'm 15 seconds and if really wiped 30 secondsI never watch the clock, I just go whenever my body tells me I ready to go again! And for some reason it is quick...just love getting in and out of the gym! But, on compound movements I may take a bit longer in between sets to maximize it!
Your body will adjust / adapt as you become accustomed to shorter rest periods (not to zero) over time. And it is not about the weight, is about progression but I am sure you already know thatYes and it's definitely not 30-45 secs. My strength dropoff would be huge if I rested only for so long.

No idea if it's optimal at all
Also I use a ton of light weight and tier up to heavy
I don't count sets either so but if I change the weight I feel committed to min of 2 sets

Unless you are a powerlifting. That changes things.
