I grew up in Detroit and moved to Aspen (to ski)and the Denver after college to work for EAS. I got home-sick and then moved back to Michigan a couple years later, but to a rural country area on dirt roads. I lived on 8 acres of wooded property and woke up to a very similar situation as your picture. After a few winters I had enough and moved to Florida. This was 8 years ago and this is a picture of my view today from my back yard.... Call me spoiled, but I will never go back and live up north again. Yes the snow is beautiful at first but after being snowed in for over a week on more than a few occasions it's not quite so pretty anymore....
Looks like Bigevil and i are on the same page. I had lunch on the beach yesterday while watching dolphins swim passed. Believe me, i put in my time up north though.
we got more coming to newEngland area this week. Looking at another 20ish inchs give or take a 5 depending where you live and that is from Tuesday night to Thursday morning, then i believe another one is coming for Saturday, lol, SNOW
