Losing Hair

Ok. Another hair thread. PLEASE don’t respond “Just Shave it.”
I’m not at that level yet. And even if I was, it is not an option. My skin complexion would make me look like a hospital patient. The shape of my head would also make me look ridiculous. Trying to keep what I have as long as possible.

I’m currently seeing a lot of hairs everytime I wash my hair in the drain. Current blast is week 1 of Test 600/NPP 300. Prior to that was 400mg Test and 60mg var. im assuming the var contributed to a lot of my recent hair loss. After this 6 week blast, I will go on TRT and evaluate my options.

My current protocol is:
-Nizoral every other day
-RU 1x day
-minoxidil 2x a day
-1.5mm micro needling 1x a week
-Actiiv shampoo and conditioner (I don’t think this has had any effect)
-Nutrafol

I have no MPB in my family. Thick head of hair despite hair loss. Started at the crown, now it seems to be in front area thinning.

I will look into PRP injections after this blast and depending on how bad it gets, maybe a hair transplant…..

I’ve been on and off 20 years now and never had hair loss like this before. I even had hair down to my shoulders at one point. I’m currently late 30’s.

Sounds like your days of using gear are over if you want hair.

Why aren't you using oral minoxidil, propecia, and topical propecia? I have no hair and even I know about these things.

I started using a topical finasteride and it killed my sex drive. I think i might even have post finasteride syndrome from it.

Your post finasteride syndrome is probably from AAS and you are blaming it on topical finasteride.

Tons of people using AAS have sexual issues.

Tons of people (not online) use finasteride without having any sexual issues. Not saying some don’t but it’s a minority.

Common things being common highly doubt topics finasteride was the culprit.

No. I take 5mg cialis for many reasons, never had sexual issues before using fina. Obviously had issues here and there experimenting with AAS over the years. But this one I can narrow down to fina.

Regardless post fina syndrome is scary enough for me to never use it again.

I’d rather pay 10K for a hair transplant than lose my sex drive permanently forever

Stop using testosterone. Testosterone is the worst steroid for hair. i have regrown a full head of hair being off testosterone and using other AAS.

I was doing all the stuff you mentioned and didn't help much. Added finasteride and my hair issues are gone. I have noticed it kill my sex drive as well. I take 5mg cialis EOD which doesn't help with the desire but does help things get going.

Finastiride 1mg EOD for me stopped my hair loss in its tracks. I’ve even regrown a little!

The topical minoxidil just irritated my scalp after about 1.5 weeks. I had to discontinue it.

No sexual sides to speak of… Course I stay on high doses of Test and Tren.

The RU itself should have you covered for preventing further loss, if it’s legit. Micro needling, HGH and cialis to promote hair growth.

I don’t want to fuck around with DHT so I’ve always stayed away from finasteride.. But we know it works.

I got a hair transplant in Turkey last year. Best decision I ever made. I wish I would have done it sooner.

You say shaving isn't an option for aesthetic reasons but you've consistently not responded when we've asked you to post pictures.

You say you aren't at the point of needing to shave it but you're throwing six modalities at it and it isn't improving.

You're now in your late 30s when genetics for hair loss is really kicking in.

Quit PEDs to save your hair or accept that you - like most people - will lose your hair to them and keep going. Get over your vanity, your hair isn't they key reason people like you.

To my understanding topical finasteride doesn’t have the same side effects as oral finasteride, despite getting blood levels to peak similarly as oral (depending how much topical is used)..

I usually have a ridiculously thick head of hair, super curly. I had it down to my chest a couple months ago and cut it down to a fade again; I saw some hair thinning on the corners of my scalp and figured it must have been from the years of tying my hair up super tight and it’ll grow back in.. Nah son, when I snap a picture with flash from the top, I can see slight thinning and the exact shape of hair loss coming in my grandpa had..

I have a buddy that with topical finasteride and minoxidil and a couple other shampoos etc he uses (so other shampoo chemicals don’t mess with his hair?) he has a thick full head of hair again, couldn’t ever tell he had MPB…

So I’m giving it a try for a couple months, see how it goes and if not, I have zero problems shaving my head lol it is what it is… I’d rather a shaved head than be one of those guys who tries to grow out thinning hair and 50 different ways to disguise the balding..

Are Nizoral, minoxidil, and Finastride the best topical shampoos to use to keep hair or slow down it’s loss?

What’s the consensus on the best of those? I think I’ll throw in a shampoo, because it can’t hurt and won’t take any additional time out of my day. Just for preventative measures. I’ve got most of my hair still and want to try to keep it if it can be helped.

I can’t stop using Test. I’ve been on TRT forever. I’ll never come off.
I came off to conceive a child and felt horrible.

I may quit peds, not sure yet.

I’ve also only been using minoxidil and RU for not even a month now. Most take 3-6 months to work….

Not giving up just yet.

I can’t brother. I was watching porn and literally nothing was happening for me, even on 5 mg cialis.

I’m not chancing that for life.

They say topical fina has less less sides but there’s a small percentage who get sides from it. Guess I’m one of them….

The point is this is clearly impacting your mental state to a significant degree, like RSMainz and his thread about fixing his gut. He was despondent. Then he posted pictures and everyone told him he looked great, because he does. The gut is a minor thing overall that he can pretty easily fix.

Your initial post shows poor self-image and it's likely not justified. Many guys here have shaved their head, do you think none of them ever thought like you? I'm trying to get you the mental reassurance you need.

You are right though. It has effected me a lot. I’ve used gear on and off for like 20 years, had hair as long as yours! And never lost like I am now. Every day, there’s some in the drain. Just trying to maintain it as long as I can.

I know mast has contributed to the hair loss and now prob Var too so I’ll stay away from those forever and any other DHT.

I’m experimenting with the NPP now for 6 weeks. And then I’ll go from there.

If I have to run nothing but TRT and GH then that’s what I’ll do.

I went to Ankara. Id recommend staying away from the hair mills in Istanbul. I spent $7k, looked like shit for about a week then it just looked like I shaved my head. I was quoted upwards of $20k by a few sites in the US and before and after photos never impressed me.

FYI, running primo is what caused my hair loss. I never had any issues with any other anabolics. Wish I never would have touched it
