I don't know how to start this I have so many thoughts I want to share with you guys its hard to organize them. I also feel kind of obligated to share because I give my input into things that happen in your lives here.
On monday night my 18 year old step son died in his sleep. He was on a combo of meds , he had 4 or so concussions in the last year... 4 playing in his senior year of hs football and the last one in the garage on a cabinet. He had alway had migranes. The docs had him on something for anxiety, to help him sleep and pain med for when he got migranes. About 8 weeks ago this combo had made him vomit and asperate, his gf was there and turned him over and got him to the er. They said he had an alleric type of reaction to the meds. New combo after that seemed to be working well, he feel asleep in bed with his gf and same thing happend but she didnt hear him.
Now Ivan once wrote some thoughts that really got to me about death here a couple of years ago. About how we shoud be happy for him, I have to say thank you Ivan for that, it touched me at the time and it was one of the first things I thought of when I could think. The last trip he had to visit us up at the house was right before christmas. He wanted to drink some beers with me and talk. I have been with his mom for 10 years so I met him when he was 8. We talked about some hard times when I was disiplining him and his brothers (4) and how he felt and what he learned. He told me he respected me and loved me. He got to work summers with my best friend that I have known for 26 years. He got to learn about me from my friend, my bro took good care of him and took him in, the crew of guys he worked with really loved him and acepted him. He had a hell of a summer. told me about it and said he withed he could work with me like that too, to have a another type fo relationship with me.
He had a gf of 2 years they were both really in love with each other. Her family took him in it was really amazing to see. He was a freshman in college and had the same chem teachers as I did, He asked about me .
I am so happy that I had the chance to have that talk and spend that night with him. I am happy that he was a happy kid and knew love and was working on his dream. He wore his heart on his sleeve and wanst afraid to tell you he loved you.
what a horrible thing to happen but I am greatfull he knew all those things and lived a happy life and was loved and loved back. I am so glad we got to tell each other those things.
He has 4 brothers and a sister and too many aunts and uncles and cousins to count.
just wanted to share with you guys about my son dylan. Maybe you can read this and smile that he had a great life, not that he died too young.
