Hey I’m coming off keto diet where I was having 30 not grams of carbs or less per day and also making sure that my electrolytes were replenished every day —> potassium and magnesium at the proper amounts. Now I’m switching to 100-150 carbs Around my workouts. So my question is at what point do you not have to get those electrolytes in like I did with SKD vs 100-150 carbs daily now? How many carbs per day do you need to get to not have to worry about getting those electrolytes in anymore?

just go by how you feel, if you cramp etc without them then keep taking. There are a ton of variables that will determine if you need to supplement with electrolytes and only you will know the answer by experimenting with it

do a simple blood test to make sure sodium/potassium and all is in tact...Potassium can be deadly very easy...and it doesnt take a whole bottle of potassium supp to kill u.... a good diet has plenty of potassium , u add on top of that electrolyte powders, pre workout supps ,some stress on the kidney from dehydration or some meds and u can easily end up in a dangerous zone without feeling much...speaking from personal experience

Do not abuse Potassium supplements, they can quickly cause issues.

I would limit to 1-2 tabs a day and only if your diet is not already rich in potassium, most "clean diets" have more than enough, only sloppy diets are lacking of potassium.

Make sure still sodium is high on low carb, that way you can stay full :)

i d say dont use em at all unless recommended by a doctor or getting cramped, recently looked through one of the pre workout supps on the shelves at the gym, that thing had almost 500mg of potassium per serving...
