This is the writeup revisiting this 1999 study which many of you are familiar with, so its NOT new. It's probably been posted before (hell I may have even posted it) and was just re-posted in a write-up on Ergo. However, I think its important to reinforce the message that HIGHER doses are not always necessary to make decent gains. Especially with the young crowd and the "you're only as big as your dose" mentality. People like Dante have been preaching this for a while. This is especially true for the health conscious. If you're just a gym rat, bodybuilding hobbyist (like me) and you dont seriously compete, there is no reason to redline your dosages.
Low dose of testosterone plus a couple of oxandrolone tabs just as effective as a megadose of testosterone
That said, I dont think everyone should run out and "supplement" their HRT protocol with a low dose Oral like Var or Tbol because there is NO DOUBT that such orals WILL adversely effect lipid profile in comparison to HRT level test alone.

If you get men to train for 20 weeks and inject them with 600 mg testosterone enanthate, they'll gain 8 kg extra fat free mass, according to some studies. But it's possible to make the same gains with less, doctors at the University of California discovered. You can achieve almost the same results with a light course of oxandrolone and testosterone enanthate, [20 mg oxandrolone daily, 100 mg test weekly] and you only have to take them for 8 weeks.
