Hey brother, congrats on getting sober, 22 days is solid. I just picked up 9 years in March. I don't know if you're using a 12 step program, but I learned in A.A that the way to truly build self esteem is to commit esteemable acts. When i started to be of service to those around me, I felt better about myself. It's hard to feel like a lowlife when people are smiling at you and saying thank you constantly. Once I felt better on the inside, my outside circumstances improved. I had confidence in regards to my career and my romantic/sex life because my emotional well being wasn't tied 100 percent to them anymore. I hope that makes sense. If you need any help with the sobriety portion, PM me. I got off heroin, pills, booze, and coke. Good luck!

Telling some one with little to no self worth to work on themselves makes me laugh. Many people with low self esteem let people walk over them or turn into bullies or A holes to cover it up. Action precedes results. Go do something positive. after a while you will mostly start to see a change. I didn't believe that i would be stronger then most people in the gym. I just went in every day/week/month/year/decade and trained. The same thing can work in any facet of life.

i used to be like OP... then i grew a brain, a dick, and a heart


but seriously... i was an insecure teen. acne and braces, im sure some of you know the deal.


everything changed when i came to the harsh realization that, as a man, NO ONE WILL EVER FEEL BAD FOR YOU


if anything, you will simply be mocked for having problems.

You need to cut all ties with the lowlifes you used to hang with. Forget about the drug money you lost. Start your new life fresh. Tomorrow your going to go in a new direction. You will build up your self esteem over time. Good luck.

4. I have been sober for two decades. 22 days is nothing. It will take a long time before you start feeling normal but no matter what dont use. I know its hard, I have been there but Dont use, it will get better.
