Lower back Lumbar??

Couple weeks ago I was doing bent over rows with my average weight.... I felt this sharp pain when doing my last set.

My lower back lower then belly/higher then hip area was a very sharp pain. I couldnt bend foward but I could squat down.

Im recovering but has anyone had this happen? How can I reinforce the muscles to make them stronger in the future?? Thanks
 
Doing hyperextension, and keeping your core muscles very tight and strong is the key to a good lower back. The core is key to many anti-inujries.

I was doing working my hams with stiff legged bent overs, and on my last set I felt a small pinch. When I wen to bend over and stretch it out OH MY GOD POW I pulled a muscle in my lower back! It hurt so much I layed off weights for 2 weeks, kept a hot compress on it and took plenty of Ibuprofen.
