I have a bit of lordosis in my L5 area. Ortho doc wanted to trear with corticosteroids/ consider surgery and run all these expensive, time consuming test and chiropractor wanted to work with me on a continuous basis to place my bones back in place. I got a script for corticosteroid and was on then for a almost 2 weeks while seeing a chiropractor 3 times a week. Its now going om 6 weeks am im almost pain free no drugs vs before at 5/10 pain at rest and 10/10 with certain movts Long story short, I'm glad I got a second opinion with a chiropractor.

Doctors In most cases will almost always treat with drugs and/or surgery and in some cases it's really might be the only options for some. For my situation however, I clearly had them lay out realistic outcomes for my situation along with trmt plans. The chiropractor sounded pretty damn confident with my prognosis after a set of xrays and current state of health to tolerate the aggressive trmt plan. He said he could bring me back to close to baseline preinjury, so I rolled with it and glad I did. Im looking forward to follow up xray s in the next 6 weeks or so.

I've had plenty of Back Issues over the years.
Herniated L-4/L-5, had a Laminectomy.

Honestly, I would get an X-ray to determine if you Damaged anything, as Chronic Pain is usually an Indicator of a Problem.
It may just be a Slipped Disc, in which case a good Physical Therapist could help.
I also have an Inversion Table, and I Hang Upside Down every day, and it's great.
But 1st, you need to know Exactly what you are dealing with, then you can make an Informed Decision on how to proceed................... JP

Kind of sounds like what It felt like when I herniated my l5/s1 disk. definitely see a doctor
