Lower belly fat problem

hey guys, ever since i can remember i have had a nice lower overhang of belly fat, finally i have got my diet in check and have shed alot of fat, currently i have the upper abs showing pretty solid but still have significantly more fat below my belly button.

is there anything i could do to localize this fat loss or will it just take me getting shredded to the bone to rid myself of this fat?
 
Getting shredded may or may not help. You may want to look into topical fat-burners (yes, they exist) like Napalm and Eviscerate. Some people also add liquid clen to the mix, making what they call Clenpalm or Clenviscerate. Google them. Whatever you decide, diet as strictly as possible then explore the supplement route. Good luck in your endeavors.

could it be genetic that i hold a higher % of my fat in this area? i noticed a few weeks at a dance competition my sister has a similar problem but to a higher extent.

There's actually a PDF compilation of studies called 'biosignature modulation' that does seem to bear this out. The theory is that chronic fat loss problem areas are related to specific issues...cortisol, insulin resistance, estrogen, thyroid, etc.
 
chances are you just have to continue on the journey. lower back and lower abs is very last area to go.
 
whats the best way to deal with a cortisol problem?

Phosphatidylserine at 800mg a day has been shown to decrease cortisol levels by %30. I used to take it when I trained natural. It's good for your nerves too which leads to strength gains.
 
Hey bro i am in the same boat as you. I can see my upper abs but i carry a ring of fat on my lower abs and my lower back and liver area. I had blood work done and everything came back normal. So i just think it will be the last thing to go for me. I was much fatter on my upper abs this summer but since i have started dieting it is coming off from the top down. THe lower abs, lover handles and lower back just take time.
 
I don't know how old some of you guys are, but at 50 it gets worse. I keep a pretty flat waist doing two things, eating good all year and cardio.
 
In the same boat here as well. Finally starting to see my upper abs pop out, but the spare tire will not go away...it's frustrating
 
Yeah its frustrating. Especially when i am eating as clean as a human can, exercising every day and doing cardio 5 days a week. It is coming off but its slow.
 
try some yohimbine HCL. not sure about how much info is here, but there's a thread on intensemuscle that has a lot of info about it.

It seems to hit those problem areas pretty well, most people notice fat loss from areas that always seem to be last to go pretty quickly.
 
as mentioned above, your just gonna have to ride it out...its gonna be the last fat to go..stay consistent

Diet harder, stay consistent with your cardio.

It gets frustrating, sometimes I squeeze the hell out of that pocket of fat

hoping it wil somehow disperse the fat. Makes sense in my head...
 
I think you just keep getting shredded to lose that belly fat. However, if you`ve been fat in the belly area for quite sometime it may leave a little lose skin.
 
what about rosea rhodiola (sp?) to lower cortisol?
 
Just gotta stay with it. I'm at 6% right now and I still have a small pocket of fat around my belly. Its very frustating but I think a lot of it is genetics, I have always had it and it doesn't go away til carb and water depletion.
