Lump few days after injection

Hello guys ,

Hope i post this in the right place.
First of all sry that i start in this forum with such a post.
I hope you guys can say anything to my problem .

Last thuesday i injected into my Arm with an Insulin needle . Now i get a big Lump . The lump in only slightly red on the injection place . I have no pain, fever, extreme redness or anything .

I think i didnt hit the muscle and injected subQ and i hit a blood vesel.

Did anyone had the same thing and could say how long it takes to go away . Read anywhere from few days to weeks .


I can train completly normal and really dont feel any pain .
I also include a picture for everyone .
I know the place where i injected was not the best but when you did this longer you dont think enought sometimes .
I work every time steril with a new needle and alcohol pad before anyone ask .

Apprichiate the help.

Thats the problem i think .
It was 2x 1ml relativly close together in this spot.

With no pain and you can still use your arm normally, seems like you'll make it. Give it a few days.

Yeah i really have no pain .
Can massage it without big problems.
Trained back yesterday and dont feel this lump.

It only looks not great .

If doesnt go back in the next 10 days i will rethink it

If there is no redness or heat and it is slowly shrinking i wouldn't worry about it.

And no flu. Test flu is the worst.
I didn't aspirate one time many years ago.
3 cc 23 gauge test deca low solvent mix in delt and 1 cc in felt like a flamethrower. Had to pull out it burnt for 5 minutes. Had a blood bruise that ran all the way down me tricep. Ravaged by test flu and a lump for a week. That's what I got for being in a rush. LOL. NEVER again.

The WHO and CDC quit recommending aspirating for IM injections many years ago. I can't remember the last time a nurse did that. I stopped doing it long ago as well. And have had no issues myself.

Yea just wrote it off as a bad shot angle being in a hurry pressed for time.
Pray you never get it it's worse than being sick achy breaky sweating headaches site injection inflammed and nd sore.

I don't recall if I've seen anyone mention this, but if you have painful gear that often forms lumps, maybe try putting on this after injections. It seems to help me.

Thank you to all for the helpful tips .
Slowly it gets smaller.
Now the direct injection spot went red.
But not infection red.
I hope thats understandable what i mean .
Tomorrow morning i will post a update picture , so that everyone can follow the progress .
I saw most threads, there was only posted 1 picture and then nothing more .
I will update this thread for the whole process .

Subq shots can be irritating as hell especially with anything over .3 ml. Very short injection can irritate the site and cause inflammation.

i have injected into the biceps many times half inch should be good its inportent to inject into the biceps heads normaly if injected on the sides its a bigger chance for lumps. And its verry importent to massage it good after injecting in small muscules a massage gun is better then hand massage in my uppinion.
