i think that they will bust the superstars who are somewhat controversial like manny and even arod, but they won't touch the guys who are really clean like pujols, jeter, and chipper jones.

Who says that those guys are clean?

Seriously, they have a list which has over 100 guys test positive for performance enhancing drugs for the mlb.

i meant those guys who had a really clean reputation and haven't really been on the edge of anything as opposed to guys like manny who makes a big fuss about the whole boston situtation just to get traded

Yea but why was he on hcg in the 1st place? Something fishy was up with Manny when he left Boston last year.. In 100 games in Boston, he hit 299 with 20 HR's and 68 RBI's.. He then played HALF as many games in LA, hit 396, and had almost the same number of HR's and RBI's - 17 and 53..

I'm just speculating here - but he knew he had to put up some big numbers if he wanted to get the big contract he was looking for (100mil / 4 yrs).. So I wouldn't be surprised in the least bit if he jumped on gear as soon as he got out to LA.. Because his contract was coming to an end at the end of the season, and he probably figured the bigger the numbers he put up, the bigger the money he'd get.. In the end, it took MONTHS for them to come to an agreement on the contract which wasn't signed till a couple months ago, and he only got 45 mil / 2 yrs.

I read the title and thought it was Manny Pacquiao. I'm relieved. I don't really care if athletes take steroids, why make a big deal now when it's been going on forever. To keep up appearances? How noble.

wow, didnt realize they tested for HCG. And I always thought that would be a good drug for ball players to use without getting busted.

Professional baseball players must be either stupid or greedy. Stick with low dosages of test prop or suspension in the off season. Put on your size then and just ride it through the playing season.

I agree with you on this one. However, the mlb has extended their list of banned substances quite a bit recently. I wouldn't be surprised if something like clomid is on that list as well.

Yeah...guys like Sosa and McGuire who were complete pricks...they didn't go after them did they? No...because they are clean and weren't on the edge.

Back in the day, when those 2 played in the mlb, andro and aas weren't on the banned list. If I remember correctly. I may be wrong.

do you people really think he just used HCG? he used gear then used HCG afterwards.....

I think pro athletes should be able to use whatever they want, but if your sport says you can't use it--you can't use it.

I'm just happy that Manny got suspended since he is a complete assclown. He is a good example of why pro sports are no longer fun to watch/follow. I'd be happy if they suspended him the whole year without pay--that would be sweet

I always wondered that myself then again I think if that was approved a whole bunch of MLB players would magically be scripted test injections lol.
How easy would that be take something off season and tank their test levels and get scripted.

I don't feel bad one bit.
I know for a fact that pro athletes put lots of stuff in their bodies that is banned, MOST are smart enough to hide it.
HCG increased testosterone so it DID give him an edge. Just like Barry Bonds with the BALCO deal. He was using clomid at one point and it as well increased his levels.
I dont agree whatsoever that a pro sport should be "clean" and I think these tests are rediculous BUT these guys have the best doctors, trainers and consultants out there. They are 1000% responsible for what goes in their body. Don't play dumb when you have a 20 million dollar contract at your disposal.
