Weight has kinda settled. Justin and I chatted and have not upped the food the past 2 weeks. Just letting my body get used to the new weight. Its about a 30-35lb gain in 5 weeks for me. Back pumps arent killin me yet. But im still lean and not holding a ton of water. Again, cardio is pretty dialed in so that helps.

Training wise, i think i might break my split down into some blocks to allow for more specialization. Alll last year i did alternate weeks of 2 leg days, then 2 back days. It worked but i think 4-6 week blocks of one then the other would be the MOST beneficial. More time to feel the adaptations and monitor progress. I also think I need to play around with volume. Im still saying relatively low volume for myself as i dont wanna get to peak stimulation and stress levels thiiis early in the offseason. Save the more working sets for months down the line.

This week is a bit of mixup with my wifes bday. Leave on Thursday, get back Monday. And honestly, i need to bring food with me with every trip. Going from 6-7 meals to 3 never works. I end up losing like 10lbs. So im proactive. I bought 2 tubs of Redcon1 MRI Lite (give my body a break from whey), 2 rice & grinds bags and almond butter. That'll give me 1-2 meals with the wifey where i can enjoy myself + 4 or so meals of the basics. I know myself too, ill find a gym in PV and hit it acouple times haha.

If you know anything about him, dude is smart and a nerd and beause of that he has saved basically every interview or article he's ever written. So he basically created an AI model then fed in 10000s of pieces of info from himself over the past 15 or so years. So its him...in AI form. Of course he gave me a free pass to mess around with it and test it and its pretty impressive. I had questions about that training block idea and it answered it all for me and then wrote it uppp. I asked for a carb cycling diet for a 5'11 190lb guy trying to diet, 15% bodyfat and it spit out an entire diet. Its pretty ridiculous. From training to nutrition to posing stuff, its crazy. His goal is to get other coaches to possibly add into it. Like imagine if @DOGGCRAPP and @homonunculus threw into that? My god. I still think reallll day to day, real eyes person, is the best bet. But this is that inbetween that can/will help 90% of PM members who arent competitors. Even myself, i use my ChatGBT to bounce ideas off. I basically tell it my daily routine, lifting, supplements, goals, etc. It knows im a SHW bodybuilder taking blah blah blah, goal is to do this while maintaining that. So EVERY ANSWER it gives me comes with a goal or perspective in mind. VERY helpful. Anyways, plug done. I have to eat like 4cups of rice and 8oz of ground chicken now.
 
Did you start the Reta at 1.5mg or a lower dose? After reading the reta thread, YouTube etc I’ve seen people suggest anywhere from .5mg to 2mg to start. I think I may give it a go especially after hearing about yours and others blood work while on it.

I started at 1mg and felt nothin. I know that’s an absolute terrible way to judge it. But I did a week and then would add 0.25 until I noticed appetite and food noise waining
 
Before I talk about this day, lemme tell u this scare I had. Flew to Mexico with weed pens and nicotine pens. Weed in my shaving kit in packed bag with vitamins and gear and needles. When we land and go thru customs my bag sets off an alarm. Customs guy asks me what I have, any vapes? I say no way.
He opena the bag to find two large nicotine vapes, my wife’s that she threw in my bag and didn’t tell me. He’s pissed, he asks me if he’s gonna find any mor sketchy in there. I say no, he opens my shaving kit with two weed pens. Luuuckily my gear vials and syringes are in another smaller bag labeled Essential Oils. Grabs it, feels it and tosses it aside as he goes to my telmisartan and ezetimibe and starts crushing them as if he think it’s ecstasy. I quickly grab that fear pack and slyly slide it under my clothes and shoes. Dude this he just busted me for week (illegal) and nicotine (not allowed to fly it into Mexico) says I’m in big trouble and stop the line to pull me into an office. But guess what….this is fuckin Mexico. Guy asks me for 1k, I tell him he’ll no, I can do $400. He say $500 and I walk back to my wife to grab cash. Walk back, pay him and say, “if I’m giving u this $500 then at least gimme those 4 pens back”……and he slides it over to me lol
Crisis averted. Good thing this wasn’t like Germany or a European country. Could’ve been baaaad

In PV Mexico for my wife’s 40th. Amazing time with friends. So fuckin hot tho. My body is not equipped for this without electrolytes. Just 98% humidity and 95 degrees. Actually felt dangerous to do cardio lol but im also sleeping in, something need get to do because of my kid, so no cardio and just did a MR Fortitude Training type workout. Couple warmups then MR sets for chest, shoulders, hams and quads. Some arms. Just move the fluids and food around.

I packed lots of my own meals too. I hired a chef to stay in the villa and cook 2 meals (real Mexican cuisine) per day so I eat those two and 4 protein powder/almonds/cor meals.

Went to a party on a small island yesterday. Pretty nuts. My wife and her friends are house club/DJ people so I just roll with the group. Good ego day tho lol I’m literally the most muscular man in Mexico right now (joking but maybe?) mix of muscle chasers, random 40 year old women. And young guys with 1000 questions. Lean and 300 helps too lol tomorrow I’ll probably rest and low day it. It’s my wife’s actualll birthday so we have a big dinner reservation. Should be fun. Kidless is fun and I’m letting my wife get aaafter it with her friends

Alsooo hired a masseuse to stay at the villa for 4 hrs a day just so this whole crew can get spa like experience at the villa. It’s very dope.

I normally hate that but i have pushed my body pretty hard post show so i knew getting 3 days of 7+ hours of sleep was a good thing.

Mexico was great though. Wife's bday was a hit. Hot as fuck and humid. I was constantly sweatin and chugging electrolytes just to stay with it. Basically in a bball jersey and swim shorts all day. Went on a boat trip to an island for a concert, no matter whereeee u go there are some muscle chasers. Had some weirdos keep asking me for pics lol I'm pretty nonconfrontational so that helps. I just smile and chat for a bit. Food wise, made sure i brought enough for 4 meals and ate 2 from the villa chef....my god, the food was great. Spoiled there, but i spent a lot of money so i better be. But glad to be back to reality. So today was just gtting back to the routine. Maybe it was the electrolytes (lack thereof) or someelse, but i was fatigued and exhausted out of my routine. I FEEl BETTER gettin up at 4am and getting into my own schedule quick.

Did a checkin with Justin while i was there and he feels we need a 3rd high day so well see how that goes. We're some hydration and a cheese burger away from 310 so we'll see. He doesnt seem to think we're in a bad spot though. One main thing im changing is my split a bit (think i mentioned this last time). As im going to block periodization almost. 6 week block of 2 leg days, then 6 week block of 2 back days and so on. This is what it looks like right now.

Just slight differences than last year. My chest/shoulder day was just tooo damn long with cardio and my arm day was too short. So just flipping the majority of shoulders to that arm day. I honestly dont think i have ANY exceptional BP but i know that i need some fuckin quad sweep and for my legs to match the thickness of my upperbody. I think, IF NO BABY INTERRUPTIONS and allll that, that this will lead to a 280+ package on stage. Totally doable.
The baby thing isss the biggest hurdle right now. To be honest, i'm having a hard time mentally with it. It will take us a year+ probably. A year with 0 gains and no change in physique. That means that i'll be one step closer to 40 which is when i was going to gear down and downsize. Baby to me means that this is the best my package is gonna be. I wont have time to level up by the time we have our 2nd child. Mentally, that is hard for me to swallow. I've mentioned this before, but my BIGGEST regret was not fuckin with the NFL post football. I was big and i was good. I was a multiple team captain, multiple all conference guy and i just got beat up and hurt my last year. So hurt that i basically said, "screw it." IN reality, i wouldnt have been any NFL player. I maybed wouldve made some cuts at a camp and been a 3rd string or practice squad guy for a year or two before that dream retired. BUT it wouldve been cool to say i was in the 0.0001 population big and strong enough to do that. And now...i'm in that 0.0001 population of muscular freaks. Again, not a pro quality, but i can stand on a big stage and not get blown away by elite SHWs. So the idea of TWICE not having that opportunity is difffficult in my head. This is just a view into my mindset. The reality is, i'm probably going to have to swallow that pill and be ok accepting the end of being "massive." We'll see.

Just remember man, the stage will always be there. A year of maintenance to have a child you’ll raise forever vs saying you battled with some beast on stage… no brainer.

That said, I’m doing the exact opposite of the advice I’m giving you. 😂 I justify it by saying I’m a little younger if that helps.

Another high day today. Starting to make food choice that are lesss volumous just to i can handle the amount of food now. Immediately post show im so fuckin ghungry that i choose shit that wont make me binge...just choices that mean A LOT of food. But now i get a bit bloated and am making choices that allow me to eat, digest in an hour or two and then be ok to eat more.

Playing around with volume and working sets too. I love going back to progressive overload and everyworkout, the weight goes up. Feels good. But i also know this past offseason I got a more "balloony" BBer look and I swear it was because i did more pump work. So i want the best of both worlds. I remember Luke Sandoe making a similar change toward the end of his career. He was a Jordan Peters hard and heavy guy and then switched to basically logging his first couple exercises and then pump work the rest of the time. That willl be my approach, of course depending on BP too. Shoulders and arms thrive on volume. Back and chest, chase PRs but need some volume work at the end. Legs are more volume and pump.

Nothing new on drugs. I'm actually using LESS than last year (at least at this point in the rebound/offseason) so i feel good. Letting training and food drive everything right now. Just Sustanon, NPP and Mast P.

Ill keep you guys updated about the pregnancy thing. And i get what you are saying @bbxtreme believe me. Having my daughter was the best thing ever and having another kid would be amazing. You will NEVER regretttt having a child. But you will wonder what could have been and possibly resent the situation if your hand is forced. Not saying mine is. I love my wife and I will bend over backwards to give her what she wants. But she doesnt understand how our minds work with this stuff so its such a difficult task to explain this stuff. It more has to do with me thinking i am very much in my prime in terms of muscle building and look and all of that. Of course i need to fix stuff before I can compete again...but if i drop to say a soft 280 to do this, chances are its never fulllly coming back to this. That's just the reality. My wife's good friend is an ex professional dancer...was on tour with Lil Wayne, was in movies, tv shows, music videos...and now she's a mom and her body cannot hold up. And she has explained to me how difficult it was to accept that her prime is done. No matter how much she wants it, it cannottt do the things it once did. Or i liken it to a Russian gymnast or like a swimmer. There is a brief period of time where they can set a world record...and then in an instant, they cannot. The time is slower and they are done. Anyways, ill keep u guys updated. Justin and i will chat about it this week.

In other news, doing an echocardiogram AND calcium score test this week. So thatll be a good check-up. My bloodwork 2 weeks ago was great. Best ApoB ive ever had and my lipids were amazing. Made me feel reallly good being this big and still having that shit under control. I'll keep u guys updated.

You are absolutely right about performance and the time you have to take advantage of it, take time to really think things through.
It seems it was only a few days ago i was in my prime and i blinked and now i worth a sh$t🥺 so yeah life is short!

MOST sets (top set and back off) i'm literally going to true failure and maybe hitting a partial or two to annihilate the last fibers.
The ones where its 3x12 or something of that sort i'm getting it full of blood and ending it.

But completely knocked on my ass. Had such a good back workout yesterday and as the day went on felt a chest cold...like a dry cough where i couldnt catch my breath. As the day went on i felt worse and worse and knew i was about to get hit. 100% this is from running high RPM's the past couple weeks THEN going on vaca where we hit it pretty hard. Went to bed late, partied. Decided to force my meals down and got into bed at 8pm. Slept till 730 but still feel wrecked today.

I know my body too. Even if i feel ok tomorrow, i SHOULD NOT TRAIN. It will only punch my immune system once more and delay me being back to 100%.
But my god, there's nothing worse than being sick. Just fucks up everything. This entire week will be kinda a wash. I'm gonna push my checkin to Justin till Monday. I took like 3 days off from the gym, then hit 3 in a row and now out again. Ive done this several times before and i have learned from it lol but i love training...if i feel OK, i will lift. But thats not smart. Soon as I start feeling bad, i know that i need 2+ days out of the gym, away from cardio and strain. My problem is, i never reallly know what to do with my nutrition. Today was technically an off/cardio day and i have no appetite so im just getting my food down and trying to hydrate.
 
Back and flat as a pancake. Was creepin close to 310 and after a full 3 days of just terrible flu-like sickness i am back.

Leg Press (feet at the bottom of the platform) add 2 plates until 15 reps is hard as hell. That ended up being 9.5 pps. Then did 2 rounds of rest pauses with it
Hack squat - 1 top set
Bulgarian SS - I like doing this MR style, max reps on 1 leg, switch legs, max reps the other, switch legs. Back and forth to failure. Ends up being like 3-4 sets
Leg extensions - 4x12 pump sets
Lots of stretching

Man, this flu beat the fuck outa me. If i moved around too much, i felt worse. But slept like 10hrs for 2 days straight which is amazing for me. I would do 10g of glycine and 50mg of Tradozone before bed to knock me out. Chills, body aches, splitting headache and a hacking cough. Stilll have the cough buteverything else is good.

Getting food down was a bitch but i made it work. Just did my low day nutrition for the entire weekend. Low days for me are like 400g carbs, 420g protein, 85g fat...again those are direct sources so realistically those numbers are probably quite a bit higher. But thats just how i count them.

Huge pump today with all this. Shifted my shoulders to hit 1/2 the volume on arm day and some volume on chest day. The chest/shoulder setup was just getting so damn long. I was in the gym for wayyy too long for my liking. I want to be done in 60-70 mins max. This allows that.

Other than that, all good. Been really loving @Marathon 's NPP + Sust/Mast run ive been doing post show. Smooth as hell and just feels great. Dude makes the best stuff.

Cardio is back in biz. This cough makes it tough but whatever. I did 12 mins of HIIT + 20 mins of incline walking today.
I have noticed my appetite slowing down now. Not as ravenous as before. That just means so small changes in food. I was keeping potatoes and some oat based stuff in to keep me full longer. No need now. Back to basically all rice product stuff. I want to be digesting quickly, in and out. It also means i will lower the total ounces of meat and add in some shakes a bit too. I was doing around 10oz of meat in 3-4 of the meals. I'll lower that to 8oz and add in an extra shake on top. I know Skip Hill does this alot as food volume goes up. Just a trick to make sure im digesting faster and not bogged down by the food.

Good heavy posterior chain work today. Really like this RDL on the pit shark setup. I almost take a step back from it so as im lowering its slightly pulling me forward as i hinge down. Feel a deep stretch in my glute/hams doing it this way. Good workout though.

Been really chatting it up with TroponinIQ lately so it basically answers and talks to me and answers me knowing exactly the way i like it, with allll the info possible. Even as a Justin client i think its a necessity for me to bounce training, diet and injury ideas off of. Today we discussed this specific workout, my GH timing, my shoulder issues and how i have to warm up for my chest workout, my distention fixes, as well as my protocol for the offseason to stay lean. ChatGBT (for my work) and TropIQ only work when you talk to it all the time, feeding it more info on yourself, what you like, what you want, etc.

Probably going to change up a gear a bit, dropping the Mast and adding it EQ. Test/NPP/EQ is probably my favorite cycle to run ever. Nothing gets me bigger than that combo right there.

Well high day today so i gotta go crush food. Ive been keeping my fat ridiculously low on these days. Basically only fats in the meal are in the last "free meal" type feeding. Whey iso, egg whites, 99% lean ground chicken or turkey, then it depends on how stuffed i am for that last meal. If i'm up for it and can eat, ill do some hamburger helper with 96/4 ground beef, or some breaded chicken thighs and rice. If i can barely eat i might go like 4 poptarts and a protein shake lol

How much NPP do you usually run with test and eq combo?
 
Any reason you like EQ over primo?
Honestly, never tried Primo. I have road the EQ since before the whole primo popularity this past 5-10 years. Primo back then was faked a ton, painful and expensive. So just no desire ever.

How much NPP do you usually run with test and eq combo?
I’ve run NPP conservatively at like 300-400mg and as high as a gram. Right now I’m running 600mg.
 
Very good thread. I'm with you on test+eq+19-nor. This offseason i swapped npp for ment (25mg/day) and liked it even more; eq is underrated as an anti-estrogen and seems to counteract a lot of the estrogenic stuff that can happen with nandrolone, tren, and ment. I also think its straight up just a better version of primo; leave primo for the 50+ master's competitors or dudes with health problems who need something ultra low risk but also low reward. It is not for hardcore bodybuilding.

I'm going to plagiarize some of your glute+ham days.

All good man lol glad u liked it. And I notice the same shit with EQ. I also dont get any of the crazy appetite or RBC/hemo problems that some guys get, so it’s basically a perfect “add in” anabolic to add on to test for me. And the combo of that with nandrolone is just potent as hell for growing real tissue. Only tried a bit of ment last year and liked it. Very low dosed on top of EQ and test but felt the water add on. Visually want too different but my weight shot up like 5lbs quickly.
