Mariusz Pudzianowski...

You missed my point. If you're worried about what damage a punch might do to you, don't pose as a professional MMA fighter. If you can't take a punch or are worried how much they hurt , don't pose as a professional MMA fighter. No MMA school that I've ever attended (or heard of) teaches you to tap when you're receiving strikes. I'm not saying you shouldn't tap if getting choked or when caught in an armbar or other submission hold. But you DO NOT TAP due to strikes or because you're tired. That's just pathetic. AAMOF, I witnessed Sylvia get his forearm SNAPPED and was game to keep fighting. LOL! Herb Dean looked like he was gonna barf. Say what you will about him but he has heart and never quit. ¡No Más! Puh-lease.

Amen.
I actually don't think it was really even the strikes. He just got gassed and wouldn't take his beating. Makes me think of what Joe Frazier used to say..."I don't wanna knock a man out. I wanna rip his heart out, show it to him and make him know it ain't big enough. Then he mine."
I get so fucking tired of so many juice monkey's who go to a fight at a bar or whatev, and think they can go because they the biggest in the bar, or the strongest in the weight room. It's an insult to the work that fighters do and more than anything, it's an insult to the heart you show as a fighter and THAT is what makes you when skill is close to equal (which in this case, it wasn't even close). My coaches were old school (which, since I am getting old makes sense) but I never, ever forgot one of the 1st things they taught EVERYONE who walked through the doors of their boxing club: "Everyone is a good pitcher; not too many good catchers." (Sounds like the line for a fag porn but still...)
LM tell you something and this is what seperates true warriors...you are in the ring (or octagon or whatever) with your opponent...you have trained hard, you are confident, you feel f'ing great...and you hit him with a DAMN sweet shot that SHOULD do major damage. But the motherfucker looks at you and barely flinches...then, sometime later in the fight, whether its a few seconds or minutes later, asshole hits you with his good shot and you think you just had an experience with a baseball bat. And that is when we see if you are a "fighter" or not.
Last, its like Sylvia said...it's like him (Sylvia) trying to compete in strongman...a fighter is a fighter, and a strongman is a strongman. Period.

MMA

I want to see Bob Lashley fight someone good.

I say Lashley and Lesner get it on . I would really like to see this because Both are really gifted with grappling since they are natural wrestlers and the winner of that fight take on Carwin.

Yeah but Brock is allready due to fight Carwin very soon!

Hey wolf where ya been ? Just when we were agreeing on things here you go posting brock is shit. if that is what you think ok, but dont put him in Mariuz's league..cmon now. Brock is going to put carwin down..fo sho my man. good to see ya by the way

Good to see you too:) We will soon see how his 4 win mma record will look like:eek:

LM be the 1st to say I FUCKING CANNOT STAND LESNAR...everything about him. But unfortunately the asshole is no fraud. Very good wrestler who has beaten both Mir and Randy conclusively. Cannot put him in the same category (unfortunately). The guy is an elite wrestler, I do wonder about his conditioning but unfortunately no one has tested it yet. Would love to see Carwin, Fedor or anyone for that matter kick his arrogant ass, but so far he has done what he had to against the opponent in front of him. The guy is freaky explosive and his technique is pretty tight. I would love to see him get ko'd but let's give credit where it's due.

On a side note I am most happy to see gym freaks get their assess handed to them since they seem to think that benching 400+ makes them the shit in a fight (some of the hardest punchers pound for pound look like they are aneroxic). In boxing think of guys like Hearns as a welterweight, Julian Jackson as a light middle...tall for their class, lanky with some muscle but could drop a truck.

Yeah hes a good wrestler I give him that but the only decent fighter he has fought was Couture and he is what 50 years old? I dont care how good you are in other sports boxing, wrestling ect. You cant just walk into a cage and win not even a handfull of fights and claim you are the best cage fighter, it dont work that way.

Btw I feel the same about gym freaks getting their asses handed, you can tell that they are so juiced up that they cant even hold their hands up long enough to to scratch their heads, let alone keep their guards up in a fight....

I see what you're saying. I just see him approaching this in a more technical sense than a philosophical sense. He's winded and he knew he wasn't going to win so he tapped (if this is true what he's says, and from the looks of it, I would say so). He now goes back to the drawing board to work on his skills.

I'll admit though, he was winded because his ego got the best of him. He tried to lift that 300 plus behemoth and despite him not being able to do so, he kept trying to pick him up. I don't care who you are, trying to pick up and slam 300 some pounds of dead weight from awkward angles is no easy task. You can be in great shape cardio wise but you're gonna tire quickly doing that...

Carwin will do to Lesnar what he did to Mir. He will get him against the cage, dirty box him, and unload a short right uppercut to the chin. He'll T.K.O. him in one round.

Brock will have to try and avoid that and get to the second round and then use his wrestling skills and not get into a swinging match with him. Carwin hasnt been tested for stamina so it will be interesting to see what happens if it gets to round two.

The problem with Brock, and the reason i think he will lose, is that every opponent he has beaten, he has done so because he outweighed them by a minimum of 40 lbs. Not because he was a better fighter. He beat randy because he caught him on the back of the head. I believe if Randy hadn't tried to stand with brock, and continued to dirty box, he would've won that fight. Mir just couldnt keep brock off because of the weight disadvantage. Herring was a has been, and the first guy brock fought was like 215 pounds or something. Carwin will be the same weight, and can hit harder than brock with better technique. We also Brock's chin get tested and fail against Mir. Mir caught him with a hook and a knee, Brock went out but fell on top of mir, woke up in dominant position, and pounded him out. Luck. Carwin got cracked by Gonzaga, who hits hard, and proceeded to knock Gonzaga out with a 6 inch right hand. Not luck.

Carwin is conditioned and has the courage in him to be the Champion he is!

I still think he has a lot of potential in this sport. People will give him shit because he tapped on some punches but really, I don't think anyone should really hate on him for doing that.

Im willing to bet that if any of you were getting the shit beat out of you, there will be a point where you say enough is enough, and go into protection mode vs. fighting back... In this competition, the extreme end of protection mode (which is an option) is tapping . His thought process was the lacked the conditioning, and would likely not win. So do I keep getting the shit beat out of me, from a guy who basically out smarted me (and go back to the drawing board), or do I keep going and risk serious injury?

You have to look out for number 1 in your life to an extent...

this should answer all comments and questions. very well said. hell it was his only 3rd fight. i have all the respect for the man period.

If Mariusz Pudzianowski wants to continue trying to fight MMA ...He would probably benefit by going to Thailand and going to one of the Muay Thai training camps such as Tiger Muay Thai on Phuket island for a 3 month training stay .They train from 7 to 11 a.m and again at 4 to 7 p.m 6 days a week for their Muay Thai class,s with optional MMA training just like all the other Muay Thai camps do .He needs to practice more on his fist, elbow, knee and foot strikes and work more on his endurance. He need to lay off whatever gear he is taking that makes him gas out quick, d-bol makes me totally gassed among a few others.A couple of halo,s before the fight might make him have some more aggression so he could at least last one round so can he build his speed up.Since steroids are legal over there he should be able to take something that does not get him all gassed quick .He would probably have to prepare to train there first but could start out in the beginner classes and work his way up .Tiger Muay Thai and some of the other camps have videos of some of the top ranked UFC MMA fighters taking training over there .Tiger Muay Thai has quite a few videos on YouTube. This is their url Muay Thai, MMA & Thai Boxing training Camp Phuket Thailand - Welcome to Tiger Muay Thai for you guys that that might want to improve your MMA and Muay Thai skills .

Like most everyone else I want to see Shawn and Brock fight .

BORING, BORING, BORING......You got to be kidding me, he tapped on those baby punches, lol...

I remember after his first fight people were trying to hype him up. How he was going to rip somebody's arm off, how awesome his leg kicks were, he was an ameture boxer, he studied kyokushin(sp) karate, and how great his conditioning was. Now it seems those same people are making excuses for him. Oh well, maybe he can fight Kimbo. Atleast we know Kimbo doesn't tap from strikes.

Mir was about 270 come fight time the second time they fought, so comparable size. Carwin is listed at 6'5 which is hilarious, he is prolly 6'1 tops. People say Carwin cuts from 290, I call BS unless he is a few months out from a fight and out of shape. Lesnar is still the bigger man and the better wrestler. Carwin definitely can KO anyone at anytime, but I still pick Brock via GnP. We'll see, gonna be interesting with two monsters in there. Carwin is definitely a solid wrestler too, so its not like Lesnar is gonna have a huge edge in that department. I just think Lesnar is too strong, and too fast for Carwin. A Carwin KO wouldnt shock me, but I'm taking Lesnar all the way. Throwing down at least a bill on that on betus.

I also don't see how you can justify Carwin having a better chin than Brock. Carwin got dropped by GG and then finished, Lesnar got hit with a big knee and pounded out Mir. How are those two instances proof that either has a better or worse chin?

mariusz's cardio was embarrassing

Marius is a super competitive guy. I'll bet he adjusts his training and gets REALLY serious about conditioning and training after this. The next time we see him in a ring he will probably weigh at least 40 pounds less... and he won't turn bright red 3 minutes into the fight either. He might be the strongest man in the world, but at about the 4 minute mark he was so exhausted he was about as strong as Gilligan. I don't think his pride will let THAT be his last fight.
