I hope that it does not break the forum rules.
Does anybody use it? in my gym there are only dumbbells up to 50 kg and I think to buy it but I prefer to ask first to get opinions

I can see how those might be practical in a home gym.
If your in a large chain gym with a ton of members that
might make you some enemies. Sounds to me like your gym
needs to invest in some heavier dumbbells.
I gotta admit that's some pretty smart outside the box thinking
though.

I haven’t used them personally, but I’ve heard that the attached weight isn’t very stable and has fallen off mid set in some cases

I would not like to use heavy dumbbells gripped with this method.

I could see it less risky for deadlifts, some lifters use it, also many times plates end up coming loose.

For rows/shrugs maybe partial laterals those could work(wear some steel toe boots lol) but for any thing overhead or pressing............no thanks. I would take that money and offer to chip in for heavier db's for the gym.

Man my gym that closed due to covid was the best. They had dumbells that ran up to 210 pounds. Only person I ever saw roll them out for some rows was NPC competitor Frank Nezdoba

I have a home gym… I use three separate dumbbell options in my personal gym.

1.) Bowtech 1090’s… these are great for fast conversions but you CANNOT drop em! With that said there is a permanent fix for em now through a 3rd party. I believe I paid $375 for the upgrade kit. You replace the plastic discs with 1061 aluminum discs. Problem solved and you’ll never have an issue after that. You can PM me for more info. But they only go to 10-90lb

2.) Olympic Cap dumbbells. Mine can hold 250lbs. each. But it’s painful as hell to have em on your knees since it’s not a flat surface! It’s the tip of the dumbbell on your knee after all. I purchased SpotGrips and they work wonderfully. Just need a power rack to use em with. The SpotGrips were abt $500. Worth every cent if ya ask my shoulders!!!!!!!

3.) I have an Ironmaster set. I’ve got all three upgrades on mine. This set will go from 25lbs -165lbs.

I realize this might not help your specific situation, but it give you other solutions.

How'd they get a patent on this? I knew a guy when I was in DC that did it pretty much every workout just using bands. They always stayed together for him.

Where the hell did you even stumble upon these things? I’ve dug through pages of pages of equipment for my home gym and NEVER seen these. They have a unique concept… I think it needs improvement, but they very well might have a better system next year. Interesting concept though!
