Massage 'gun' for injection scar tissue?

As far as I know, that would be surgery. They did that to my ass when I had an abscess that wouldn't heal. An injection went bad.

They go went in and cut out the dead tissue. So for scar tissue they would cut up the tissue to release it. With me, once they cut out all the dead and dying tissue from my ass it was able to finally heal. It was festering for almost 2 months before the doctor gave up on it. No antibiotics would clear it up, they tried everything.

Regarding the gun: I just watched this clip. He mentions that it is like using a foam roller but he doesn't have the floor space to roll out at home.

most injection granulomas are calcified as was mentioned by someone previously. A massage gun isnt gonna do much for that. It can help with a lil bit of remodeling for noncalcified scar tissue though if you really apply some good pressure with the correct attachment. This is based off of my opinion not on any studies or imaging.

Is there anything that could help with calcified scar tissue?

I was hoping for some commentary on the guns regardless of actually breaking up injection spots. Been debating one a little bit.

Using ultrasound guidance and using an 18g needle to break it up... you fill a syringe with some lido and sterile water and force it into that area and then suck some up. May take a few treatments.

I will sometimes see this in bbers in there shoulders from normal injections and ive seen bad calcifications from synthol usage. Makes my life challenging as it can also look like cancer when its just a wreck with all sorts of dystrophic calcs

I have one and I love it. I use it everyday. Has helped with some of my problem areas I think

Solid info. Does the area tend to generally improve though after a few treatments? Who is the specialist that would be able to apply this treatment?

The areas tends to be scarred a bit after but the calcification greatly improves. This is primarily used for calcific tendinosis however i have done it before on a bodybuilder who had a big old calcified injection granuloma in his delt that was popping out the side and looked terrible. it was about an inch down and we were able to break up and it wasnt noticeable anymore after two treatments spaced out by two months.

You could contact anyone who does ultrasound guided procedures. Sports guys, PMR, rads etc

I Bought 10 Of The CHEAPEST Massage Guns On Amazon | Are they any good?

I use it works on releasing some tough nots but my scar tissue is still well and truly there it didn’t help at all

and the cheap ones work the exact same over the more costly once bought mine on Amazon

I exactly watched this video! I thought they are all nearly the same.

I ordered one gun from recoverfun. The hyped guns which costs around 399-599$ are far too expensive for me.
I will get it in a week.

I think this things are important
1) how strong is the motor
2) how strong is the battery
3) how many 'hits' in a minute
4) how deep it hits in the muscle
5) plastic or metal
6) how much noise it makes
7) how many heads/which heads

I'm curious about these as well. I'm looking into it.

Theragun G3 PRO Vs Hyperice Hypervolt PRODUCT REVIEW

Sounds like it might but it’s only vibration. They seem the rage but do they actually work vs just feel good? I would think a foam roller would be enough no?

I have scar tissue in a my right rear delt. In the past I would massage shea butter onto it with my hand and then lean back against the side of a doorway shifting my weight back and forth, which actually seemed to help. I am considering getting one of those verti-balls that hook to the wall. I

I'd be skeptical that a massage gun would have any real effect at breaking up scar tissue. I'd assume that another person would have to use a muscle scraping tool forcefully at regular intervals for an extended period of time.

Dry Needling can break up scar tissue
If you have a good therapist they can get the tissue more malleable by pistoning the needle
from the sides and underneath
I've had this done on my shoulders, quads, and glutes
