Just saw this on the news, anyone hear from Big A and OF lately ?

Big A doesn't live in that part of OZ so he should be alright .

As for Dale, I had him for the New year, but that was 10 days ago (he was doing well)... I sent him a text today... waiting for his reply... WITH GOOD NEWS HOPEFULLY.

I got lucky. I live high enough and far enough from the Brisbane River where we were greatly unaffected. I have many friends and colleagues who weren't so lucky. Hard days ahead.

I lived in Sydney but my brother lives in Brisbane and I text him yesterday to see if he was ok but his house is up on a hill in Rochedale.

just spoke to a mate , his house was folded then it was hit by a floating shipping container....
he is just happy he was not there , nor his family..they went to stay with his sister on higher grounds...

There's some terrible scenes out there. I was lucky enough to be on high ground in one of the flooded suburbs. My place is fine but a short walk sees a ton of destruction.
A friend works as a diver for the police search & rescue, & has the unenviable job of searching for ppl amongst the murky ruins.
The cbd looks a mess.
Makes you realize how small we compared to the wrath of mother nature.

Very hard to trust what the news is telling us so great to hear from someone who is actually there. Keep us posted on the weeks to come as well.

Best of luck to you, my wife is from Baulkham Hills NSW but she's glued to the tv as she has some friends in your area. One just moved to Brisbane but she just told me he's moving back. A war zone, its just a crazy shock to see it happen
