masters at north americans

Anybody from here doing the masters at the North Americans ? I did the masters nats(50n over heavies). I Took a 7, was in original top 5 callout, but was bounced to 7th after prejudging? So the next day my wife says I have to do the NAs too. So 6 weeks later, we're going back to Pittsburgh. Been a long run, but I look as good as I ever have.

I'll be there doing the 50+ light heavy class. Just look for a "Grown in Alaska"
shirt and that will be me.

Hey Norm are you in Alaska? Are there ever any shows up there?

I live in Anchorage Ak, and we have about 5 NPC contests each year counting the ones in other towns.

We have a pretty close knit BB community here and no shortage of good competitors. I was lucky enough to work with Valentina Chepiga on posing & stage presentation for this show and it has made a big difference.

I said I look as good as I ever have not better than I ever have... definitely a lot more gristle to the muscle at 50 than at say 25....had a more appealing physique back then. But 25 years of bodybuilding and roofing and life in general adds to the hard sought after muscle maturity that's missing when you're younger... more vascularity, better detail and harder in general. Hell, I'm fairly certain there wasn't any masters back in the 80s that look the way we do now.... does that make sense?

Are you working with Philip Bradfield ?

Not this go around, but he has been a big influence on my approach to BB. Philip is the one who taught me how to dial in for a show, how to to track what I eat and how carbs are the key to manipulating body fat. I have a lot of respect for that man!
