According to his post on FB today he is dealing with lots of family stuff after his father passed away a few days ago.
Getting off all super supps, moving mom down with him and taking a step back from the pro card pursuit.
Wish him nothing but the best during a tough time in life.

Wow, I'm sorry to hear what he is going through. Could just be a knee jerk reaction, but losing a father is a horrible thing to go through in life. I wish him and his family the best.

I just want to verify to everyone he isn't stepping out of the game. He is taking a step back from competing and focusing on MPA and what creates his income for him and his family as well as his family. This is a smart move in my opinion and I wish him the best.

X2. From how I took the fb post, given his dad had cancer, he wants to focus on his health/longevity and family so stop trying to pursue a pro card and competing. Still will be coaching and running his business as usual.

Sucks to see, but sounded like a brutal couple months for him and his family. Wish him all the best because he's a standup guy.

Won't forget some of the super informative responses he gave me to a couple of pm's I sent back when I only had a few posts and no picture for my avatar.

I read that as well last night, I honestly felt terrible for what his father had to go thru and the situation Matt was put in.

His decision to stop pursuing the pro card must have been a very tough one to make, specially being at the level he is at, I respect that !
