dont stress, this stuffs been around awhile now

aslong as you buy your meat from a butcher or good source raw youlll never get meat glue becoz you can see it easily

but once its cooked, no chance of spotting it

another reason to cook at home
 
Does anyone know of places that sell cuts made with this stuff? I don't know how it can be legal to advertise the meat as a certain cut if it "blended" together.

I think I ate some of this shit a few months ago, someone had offered me steak and I accepted since I didn't want to be rude. The texture was weird. I ate it rare, so I could easily tell something was off. I was wondering wtf it was...
 
Thats why I get my meats from Costco and my University where its free range grass fed
 
:yeahthat: Costco for the win. For multiple reasons beyond quality, too!
 
Stick with grass fed meats and stay away from processed food. Too much chemical engineering going on which is unfit for human consumption.

i doubt it be meat glue, it doesnt effect the texture of meat, its more a paste inbetween meat chunks to hold them together while raw, then wen cooked disipates

its mainly used for bad cuts of meat, or for lower quality meat in order to make them bigger and sell them for more $$$$

if you bit into it youd probably be running for water, the stuff aparently tastes like eating raw salt/metal

e.g they stick two tbone steak peices together and call it wagu sorloin steak on the restuarant menu and charge you twice the normal price

The steak was already pre marinated and was salty as hell. I did run to get some water actually. I wish I could describe it better, but the meat looked different... Anyway, lesson is don't accept meat from strangers. :naughty:
 
The problem with the meat glue is the bacteria is now in the middle of the meat, so when you say eat a rare/medium rare piece it doesnt get hot enough to kill all the bacteria.

Where as in a regular piece of meat the bacteria grows from the outside inwards.
