MEDICAL HELP PLEASE! URGENT!

Hello, thanks for reading my post. I was doing sets of 3 reps squatting today, so fairly heavy, but not super heavy. I tried changing the bar placement, moving it down a SLIGHT bit because i was watching a video with a football player doing it, so it looked different wanted to try it.
well now i have this HALF DOLLAR SIZE knot on one of my vertebre.

i have FULL RANGE OF MOTION. no neck soreness,
the KNOT has gone down with swelling, it was BIGGER than a half dollar.
it is not sore at all, just to the touch a bit.

can anyone tell me what this MIGHT be and do i need to goto my chrio tomorrow?

it is at the base of the neck, like between #2 and #3 vertebre.

thanks for the help in advance. i know it was a STUPID thing to do, but i wanted to try it. now im suffering the consequences.

I would see a doctor, worst case is you have a herniated disk, best case is its just a knot in the muscle. Have you had someone try to message it out?

it CANT be a herniated disc. i hope not? it is painless. i have full range of motion. fuck.

sounds as if you were where a powerlifter would place the bar when you say 2nd.3rd vert. sort of in the lower trap portion. any ways it sounds as if you caused inflammation from the bar placement and heavy weight which is not uncommon when trying the new placement.

If by the morning it is not down even more I would see a chrio as they can take xrays quicker then most doc and most of the time all accept walk ins.

Ice it 10 mins on 10mins off for the next hour and take 1 advil then two hours later 1 Tylenol then one advil two hours later and so on.

I bet you will be fine in the AM if you did anything to the disk or bone you most likely would not have full range and the fact it hurts to touch leads me to believe more muscle then disk

DO NOT MASSAGE IT until swelling is down.

I doubt it's a herniated disk, but always better to get it checked. Another possibility is a pocket of inflammation has accured next to the spine, which can lead to a herniated disk. Sometimes there are no symptoms of pain with a herniated disk. So it's still a possibility.

Don't worry man ice and massage it some, see if it gets better.
