Meldonium worth it or not?

I have been hearing about this drug for quite sometime. It apparently provides more oxygen in the blood for quicker recovery. Other than endurance athletes wouldn't this be good for bodybuilding?

Not a bodybuilder drug per se. More of an endurance athlete drug. In short, inhibits the body from burning fat for fuel.

One thing to remember is that athletes don't necessarily use what they would want to use, they use what they think they can get away with - which might theoretically provide a benefit.
It's not certain at all that all illicit drugs actually help.

What I'd like to know is what legal OTC and not-banned substances are in the athletes blood during the olympics. I bet there are a lot and that there are some trends and weirdness - eg Viagra and acetaminophen in a lot of samples.

Well....we know what the Viagra is probably for....that and Tinder in an Olympic Camp gives that a logical explanation.

Not just for sex A few years ago WADA looked a Viagra in doping test samples and there was quite a bit of it found, don't recall off-hand how much but athletes take all kinds of things they think might help in sports. Viagra is something that might help. Might - might hurt too, who knows. Same with OTC pain killers and so on. Lines get blurred wrt what is doping and not. There's also an alarming number of "asthmatics" in sports today.
