I know for most people, Memorial Day is often thought of as the long weekend where everyone hits the lake/gulf/sea and drinks and BBQs. As that may be true, let’s not forget the actual meaning of Memorial Day. We wouldn’t be where we are if not for the brave men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice so that this country can continue to be free. From the earliest of conflicts/wars to the present, there is and forever will be a group of men and women willing to sacrifice their lives in order to keep you safe and free. Let us not forget.
So to any serviceman/woman, past and present who has lost friends in conflict and war, do not get down and depressed on this day. Instead, raise a glass, and know they died doing what they loved. They are in a much better place forever watching over you. Till Valhalla brothers and sisters!!
